The art is ...special. It's got the usual "retro" look every game seems to have lately but with real style behind it. None of this lazy "buy a commercial GFX set" stuff . And they did a really smart and original thing with the music. Instead of simply tacking on yet another 8-bit bleeping chip tune... They took a completely different tack and used some really haunting and modern soundscapes. Sometimes it's just some wind whistling with some odd effects. This is a great idea as the gameplay can be contemplative as you set up some combos, etc and an 8-bit chirpy melody in the background would simply drive you nuts. And it gives the game such a truly original feel. I can't commend the devs enough on the choices they made putting this together ... Really feels like a labor of love and art. Nice there is an option to save your equipment when you die too... Though by the time I saw it and could buy it I haven't died since. This won't last long Ok enough gushing I suppose...
