Ok, played this game for a while on my 3gen and it runs pretty well. BUT the text is not readable. It´s totally cut off and sometimes whole sentences are off screen.

There isn´t barely a sentence that is without any spelling errors and sometimes just don´t make any sense.

This gives the game a very unpolished feel and look. The gameplay is basic endless runner stuff, very very similar to Stylish Dash.

It just need a lot of work.

Basic endless runner stuff? I've played a crap ton of endless runners (Whale Trail my old favorite, Blade dash my new favorite, but this could surpass it) on iOS and this is not general stuff IMHO. Definitely more action, better graphics, more customization (albeit overly expensive), and just overall more variety IMO. But to each his own.

The only problem is the translation. It could be better and annoys the hell out of me, but doesn't affect the actual gameplay at all IMO. Maybe everything could be top notch and up to people's standards if this wasn't a penny pinching, 99 cents platform.

Oh yeah the crashes too, but F it...I'm just getting used to all my games crashing on iOS.

If anything, you're making my point for me. It's not a matter of confusion, it's a matter of loathing a trend. I know (crystal) clearly why companies are implementing IAPs. They tested the waters, and the model makes money. At the same time, however, it's a model that is alienating a huge portion of the gaming community. The majority of folks who are purchasing IAPs are uninformed consumers who likely don't do a lot of gaming on a regular basis.

And it's not a question of right or wrong. The developer of this game is clearly in this thread to help folks out with any issues they may come across with the game, as well as receive feedback. Honest feedback is what I'm offering. I'm not here to be a douche, but I do have an opinion, and generally speaking, it's not in favor of IAPs. He/she can still make money, but the more folks who cave (no pun intended to Cave) to this abhorrent market trend, the less likely we are to see a true evolution to full gaming experiences on iOS (and please don't invoke the name Infinity Blade, a game with amazing graphics and shallow, repetitive gameplay). It's falling fast into a rut of gaming bites where people pay a dollar here and dollar there for little bits of entertainment.

The news regarding Cave isn't good news; it's an obituary.

LOL...have you seen my post count? I bet a third of it is preaching about what you're talking about/informing. I know...I get it...I no longer fully care. If this is what people want let them have it because a person can only advocate for so long. Devs know that there is a general section and I (we) can kindly point them in its direction. There are plenty of niche devs who support premium but are struggling to make ends meet.

HERE: This is not a dedicated gaming platform! the simple fact that it gets updated once a year proves that. We make up a small amount of people that own smart phones. Four people in my family on smartphones and I'm the only one that id dedicated to gaming. Out of all my friends, most don't even consider mobile gaming; not even on a PSP or DS. Hell, half of them just have one to be cool and don't use for anything more than texting. Look at girls, the marjority I know play games like Farmville. They want free social games and they're mixed in with us. This was never a problem for dedicated gaming platforms.

Look at the AppStore and you will see tons of people saying thanks for this free game or it's free so i don't mind the utter crappiness of it. A lot of them will never frequent a site like this to be educated.

Again, I care less and less every day, but I still do my part. I am co-partner at a new site and we try and focus on indie devs, hidden gems, and just plain ol' good gaming. I instabuy everything I want and post impressions here. Hell, I gift apps to people in the Mass thread when i think a game is worth, and no I'm not rich but a dedicated gamer. I won't buy IAP!

Gaming is, and has always, been a luxury for people like us, but it has been taken advantage of on this platform and even others.

This forum, supposedly for dedicated gamers, is filled to the rim with people who feel the same way as the casual audience.

Let's be realistic here: It is indeed restricting gameplay. you'll always be handicapped unless you buy the gold to get the great equipment which would take months to get otherwise or you'd have to be some kind of endless runner prodigy.

Sure, it's better than maybe Scramble with Friends with the coin system but still it is far from acceptable to me to pay for a game and then be expected to pay to unlock another character (which is probably better than the other two) and then pay to get gold to get decent items.

I'd rather pay $4.99 and be done with it.

A question, do i have to start with the same level (environment) everytime i play or restart? I understand that this is running game. But if i cant run that far, i keep on seeing the same background/level/place.

The graphic is very nice, different gameplay compared to other running games since you can attack and transform. But monster dash, a similar game like this, gives me random environment.. So i dont get bored or tired of the game easily.

And yes, if this game were a platformer, that would be damn nice

This is one of the most beautiful runners on the app store.
I absolutely love the game, nice job! The controls are spot on!

Adding random environments will be awesome and thanks for listening to us!
This is one of those games that stays on your iDevice forever. :)

Eh, I do know what you mean, but... at the same time, what can I say? I don't feel handicapped. I don't feel like I'm missing out on something awesome because the developers are being greedy. Realistically, it's an endless runner, one of the daftest genres going - it's seeing how long you can keep your concentration under pressure and nothing else. I enjoy doing that, but it's not like it's ever going to change to any great degree, with or without the presence of super-powered shiny things hidden behind some kind of paywall. I pay my 69 pence, and again to unlock the third character as a gesture of appreciation for the effort the devs have put in, and I'm done - I break the game out every now and then as a way to kill fifteen minutes, and if I manage to earn enough to kit my guy out in a silly Robin Hood outfit that's a bonus. I'm simply not that bothered that I'll probably never be able to buy most of the items without paying a little bit more - they just don't mean very much to me, to be honest.

If Cave - with their falling profits - sold one of their shooters with only hell mode available and a super-powered ship you could purchase for five dollars that could kill everything on screen with one touch of the screen, that would be cause to get angry. That would be handicapping you. But this? I can't get that worked up about it. It's a shame that developers need to tempt people into spending money piecemeal, but it is the way of things, now, for better or for worse. Good games don't automatically succeed by virtue of being good, people who post regularly on a forum like this are a vocal minority, and the majority see absolutely nothing wrong with shelling out an extra dollar to make a game easier or give them some new piece of virtual treasure to make them feel they're not wasting their time. I weep for the days of boxed and/or complete releases, too, but they're never coming back, and we'd best get used to it.

That doesn't mean go with the flow, just choose who you give your money to. I'll never spend money on Gameloft or Glu DLC since for all their games are professional, polished and offer fun up to a point they're coldly mercenary studios with barely a shred of real creativity. With them it's one price or nothing for me. But with a game like this - no disrespect to the developers, but it is a simple, amusing diversion for all the work that's gone into it - but with a game like this I don't feel cheated or feel like I'm contributing to the death of the industry when I put down the purchase price again to unlock a couple more bells and whistles. I'm sorry, that's just not how my mind works.

Bit of a rant there, my apologies! I've read some of the angry conversations on this forum on this issue already so I'll try not to fuel the flames too high - but I just wanted to vent a little. Hope it made sense even if you don't agree with me.
