@onyx77: I'm all filled up on beta testing at the moment. I've got a great group working pretty tirelessly on it. I hate to say 'no more testers' for the moment, but I think that's how I'll have to do it to manage my own sanity. @Georgina: Glad you like limitless deaths!
Unless disaster strikes, the final beta goes out to testers tonight for a quick issue check... and I'll be submitting to Apple around Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not sure on the exact release date. My instinct tells me to avoid the week of July 4th since everyone will be putting their games on sale. So I'll play it by ear depending on when Apple approves.
Officially submitted it tonight! Here's hoping for a quick approval from those awesome guys at Apple!
I'd love a 23rd release. It depends on Apple at this point. I've had some pretty fast approvals, so it's possible. Here's a link to the Cavorite Soundtrack, if anyone is curious to hear.
It looks like Cavorite has moved into "In Review" in the Apple queue. Not sure on that release date. 1-Bit Ninja is deservedly getting a lot of attention / excitement. I don't know if I want to launch another retro-platformer at the same time! What do folks think?
Maybe release next Wed in NZ. A lot of people seem to tune in extra on Wed just to see all the new releases, so it should garner you more attention (along with a probable new game front page list). I have not heard of any other platformer coming out next week.
I wouldn't launch it now. I've played 1-bit Ninja, and I think you could get hurt a little bit. Maybe next Thursday once all the excitement has died down?
Yup. I think I'm gonna stick to my gameplan, which coincidentally is June 29th. That'll give me a chance to get organized for launch. Plus, it looks like today is nuts for releases!
Yeah, I'd hold off and try to release at a less chaotic time otherwise it's just going to get overlooked amongst all the other anticipated games that are coming out and that would be a real shame because this is probably better than most of them.
