Turns out there's a ton of other games that use it -- Orna, Dungeon Quest, a few others. Really wish you could add sliders, as I always prefer to have the music at a lower level than sound effects but not completely off when playing games. Amended; Game is indeed universal. The only thing that has the potential to change between runs is which characters you have unlocked. There are 8 character classes total and only one of them is unlocked at the start. Everything other than that is randomized: floor layout, which monsters you fight, which cards you pick up, items in the shop, what altars you see, it's all different every time. And of course, your high scores persist between runs so you can compete on the global leaderboard. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #17 orangecan, Feb 27, 2019 Thanks very much, I’m sorely tempted..... aconfusedkender Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2012 1,362 122 63 Oil & Gas Kendermore, Ansalon #18 aconfusedkender, Feb 27, 2019 I’m a huge fan of card type games and roguelikes. I will say this as I’ve played a little bit and am working my way through with the Viking. It would be cool if you could preset a deck before a run to try different combinations or whatnot. I know everything once you hit the start button is randomized but just a thought. Especially one with such a reasonable file size I really like these graphics/characters ...doesn’t bother me a bit that other games use similar, I actually prefer this style and find it really visually pleasing Also... Just from watching the brief trailer above, this looks to have quite original mechanics/movement....IMO the Appstore screenshots don’t do this game justice, it also needs a brief video gameplay/trailer added too. lincolnb Member Feb 26, 2019 15 10 3 Male Developer United States http://pollywog.games #20 lincolnb, Feb 28, 2019 I agree, a roguelike where you control your starting layout and such would be a lot of fun ... a bit more ambitious than we're willing to take on though Our dev version in Unity lets us pre-build decks which we used for testing! Just can't release that for liability reasons though. Ah, I should have done that. Now it's too late b/c you have to submit a new binary in order to update anything in the App store listing.
