On the subject of selling races as IAP, Blood Bowl used to go for 40+ dollars back when it was released, and the full(est) edition still fetches 30 euros on Steam. 5 dollars for the base game with humans and orcs is a steal, and will be so no matter how much you'll plunk down on additional races. (Long before this port was announced, I imagined that Blood Bowl for iOS with async multiplayer might have been one of the coolest multiplayer experiences available, and one of the most satisfyingly competitive, since the PC game has a rather extensive and cool persistent online mode. I have absolutely no doubt this could be ported with great success to the iPhone, UI and mechanics notwithstanding. I doubt it will ever come to pass, though. Graphics might not be cutting edge but there perfectly fine. My first game I've just lost terribly and that alone was worth paying £2.99 for. Brings back memories of the good 'ol gamesworkshop days of my youth. The graphics are... well let's go with adequate. Player textures are a bit iffy, but you never really zoom in too much. On reflection it's not a bad thing as it keeps the install soze down. Remember how Space Hulk had a massive filesize, despite only having a couple of unit types and corridors? It's much easier for me to keep a game on my iPad as part of the "permanent collection" if it's not greedy on the gigabytes. Haven't got a link to hand, but you should google "Blood Bowl living rule book" to find a free download of the current Blood Bowl rules. That's what the videogame (and board game) is using, so well worth a read. Plenty of videos on YouTube showing matches from the PC edition to help learn how to play too. I haven't played much because i have to reboot from OSX to Windows on my Bootcamp partition to play it. But from the little I played it seems to me that it'd be more of an irritation than fun on anything smaller than a 27" screen. And there is so much going on it seems that the touch interface and fingers on the screen will just get in the way. It screams "play me with a keyboard and mouse". And I read that it is a direct PC port which means not much was done to take advantage of a touch interface, or to make up for the disadvantages.
