Please let us know your thoughs after you played it! Especially if you notice bugs Nitro-Rock Member Mar 8, 2016 14 0 1 #7 Nitro-Rock, Sep 6, 2016 Thnaks a lot for the fast response! tested it yesterday for about 40min and its fun - but I´m to bad for it played on normal difficulty and died several times ..... so I hope you can understand what I´m writing - I´m from germany and tryin hard Bug: the first time I started it, it shows the loading screen with 100% and did nothing..... had to close it and start it again, everything was fine, then ist started from 1% counting up.... but that was only one time yesterday - but loading times are long, maybe because of my internet-speed, I´m not sure and i hope that this will be fixed for the final version. I played with the Nimbus after a short try with th remote..... I think it would be more comfortable if steering would be done with tilting the remote.... like in Manticore. another Idea: use the remote horizontally so the play/pause Button could be reached better - this is why I used the nimbus then, for use of this button i had to use my left hand and that does not feel good for me besides of that I had fun playing it and I will continue to do some of the great spaceships where you fly nearby - the textures are not so good there, will they be replaced? I know that this is a iPhone port and I think that this is a "problem" that exist only on ATV because of the big TV screen..... on the smaller screen of the iPhone this must look awesome. so, thats it for the moment, but I will write some more when i played some more is there a release date fixed? Orbital Knight Well-Known Member Mar 3, 2014 214 1 18 Making games;-) Poland http://orbitalknight.com #8 Orbital Knight, Sep 6, 2016 Noted, we'll tweak the difficulty (it's a whole different thing with the ATV remote). We'll look at it. Probably something with on demand resources (those are the main source of headache in this project). As for the loading times - again - it's the on demand resources. Apple TV is tricky, because you can only use 200mb for the build, and that's the uncompressed size after installtion. Basically this means that you download an installer from the App Store and the rest is downloaded on demand. I'm afraid there's little to be done if the connection is poor. We'll double check it though. Oh there's an option in the "game" menu that let's you play the game with the remote in the horizontal position.. but after checking it right now, I think it doesn't work, will fix in the next version. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. We'll see if we can tweak it. Maybe we'll buff some textures as ATV has more ram than most of the iPhones on the market, so there's some headroom left. Thanks for the feedback. This is really valuable! We don't have a release date yet. We'll see how the beta goes and settle the date once we feel it's solid. ac166 Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 382 12 18 #9 ac166, Sep 7, 2016 Last edited: Sep 8, 2016 Nice! It really is a grat game, I like "on rails" system , it looks so good , yet it's easy playable. Graphics are top notch, targeting is pretty easy (I've only passed two levels) . However , as Nitro-Rock said, same thing happened to me while first loading. Also, maybe gyroscope for Siri remote would be better. It is really sensitive to movement when I use touchpad on remote (maybe because of my sensitivity setting on ATV4?) , and choosing in menus (in mission questions and menu items) are to sensitive and not enough colour differentiated to see(maybe an outline would be more prominent?). When I die in mission , pop-up question for restart , quit, etc. , happens so suddenly, I didn't even realize I've already clicked an option without even seeing it. As for horizontal position for Siri remote , it could be easily played with a combination of vertical layout , gyroscope movement , and rockets and lasers could be all on touchpad, but at up, left and right region. I adore games that I can play with one hand! Once I switch to MFi controller (MAdKatz CTRLi) it all feels much better. Overall, a great game. I'm yet to upgrade ship, will post more later on. We're looking at the loading issue (funny thing is we also have problems with on demand resources in our other game: Kickerinho World). As for the UI feedback - thanks for pointing it out. You're probably right, we'll tweak it for the next version. That's an interesting point with the gyroscope and putting the weapons on the sides of the touchpad. We didn't think of it. I mean, we internally are allergic to any gyroscope based control schemes, but it's worth giving a try - it might be an option for those who prefer it that way. babaroga73 Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2016 54 0 6 #12 babaroga73, Sep 8, 2016 Idk, they say it works really well in Galaxy on Fire, didn't try it, but I love it in Asphalt, much more than gamepad. I can not shoot them, the only way is to avoid them (I think). I tried it several times but died everytime.... how long does this go? it´s not fun and I think I´m doing it wrong..... any hint for me? the Bug with the first time loading screnn (that does not continue) also was there again Orbital Knight Well-Known Member Mar 3, 2014 214 1 18 Making games;-) Poland http://orbitalknight.com #15 Orbital Knight, Sep 12, 2016 Noted, we'll look at it then. One problem I had: when trying to play with a controller, only the A button was working in some menus. I eventually figured out this was because my Siri remote had gone to sleep, when I woke up the Siri remote suddenly my controller started working. Not sure if this is an iOS bug, or something in the game itself. I've not noticed this behavior before in any other games though!
