Unfortunately not anytime soon - Halogen doesn't translate very well to the smaller screen with the touch controls. We aren't ruling the idea out completely!, but there's other things we're working on for now which are (just as) exciting. Multitasking is totally on the cards for the update!, as well as all the crash bugfixes we've come across. And other things. =)
I am about to pick up Brick Breaking II, though i know nothing about it, just because it's top 10 in app store.
I was saying Block Breaker Deluxe 2 by Gameloft until some days ago, when Ricochet Infinity dropped to a buck. I've purchased it and played it for a total of 3 times (all the levels completed 3 times)...so now Ricochet Infinity is my favourite of course...best brick breaker game ever created!
Breakfest is another excellent and innovative brick breaker, it's in 3D from the paddle's first person perspective. Great controls, retina graphics, 50 levels, and it's FREE right now on the app store!
Circuloid just dropped to FREE for the weekend too. It's an excellent circular brick breaker, anyone with an iPad should definitely grab it while it's free (although it's totally worth the normal 99cent pricetage too!).
Yeah it is! Thanks for making this universal for the iPad too, this game was meant for the big screen. It's a very unique brick breaker too, no other developer has done anything quite like it. Love it!
I played many levels of Ball Slam Fantasy Lire which seems not be limited despite lite. But I didn't like it at all despite the production value and the complex levels. My huge problem with it was the ball control. In it, center more or less the paddle when it hit the ball involved no direction control. That made it a rather boring BB. I wonder what they made with this remake.
For the low production value, ie quite cheap graphics, the price is quite high. I'm not used to quote prices but well in this case it's a bit too much. If the dev would put some more effort in graphical look I could have take it but as it is and no demo (too late for a demo it should be done at game release), no chance.

Favorite Brick Breaker? That is a ton of brick breaker games - I've played a few, just curious which ones are peoples favorites and why???
Even though I compulsorily went through various references to compile this list, my primary motivation was not enthusiasm for the genre, but plain fascination for the gargantuan number of derivative titles. I did show some considerable bias by placing what I perceive as the most popular titles at the top. Anodia is a recent, well-acclaimed entry and the only one I keep in this genre. I especially enjoy it for its gravity field feature which permits the player to influence the ball's trajectory. Block Breaker 3 Unlimited is a popular one that came out this summer I believe. The production values are high and it tries to bring something new to the table with a few novel ideas. Halogen is another interesting one I haven't tried yet. A block breaker that borrows its ball-handling controls from table hockey. It uses the popular vectorized "neon" look.
