Surveillance is total. Privacy is dead. You are the State-installed manager of an apartment building. Your daily routine involves making the building a sweet spot for tenants, who will come and go. However, that is simply a facade that hides your real mission. The State has appointed you to SPY ON YOUR TENANTS! Your primary task is to covertly watch your tenants and eavesdrop on their conversations. You must BUG their apartments while they're away, SEARCH their belongings for whatever can threaten the authority of the State, and PROFILE them for your superiors. You must also REPORT anyone capable of violating the laws or plotting subversive activities against the State to the authorities. Beholder is all about making choices - choices that matter! What will you do with the information you collect? Will you report the suspicious activities of a father and orphan his children? Or will you withhold the details about his illegal activities and give him a chance to make things right? You may also choose to blackmail him to acquire the money your family desperately needs. Features: - You decide what happens: Every decision you make affects the way the story unfolds. - People aren't just objects: Each character you meet will have a thoroughly developed personality with his or her own past and present. - No decision is easy: If you are given the power to destroy the privacy of another person, should you? Or should you treat those on which you are spying the way they deserve? - You don't know where you'll end up: "Beholder" is a game of multiple endings. "Blissful Sleep" additional story is already available!** The Ministry of Introductions is honored to introduce Hector, the ex-landlord succeeded by Carl Shteyn. The time has come to tell the stories of: - the one who has fallen a victim to a horrifying mistake, and is now desperately seeking for salvation; - the ones who broke the law to find happiness and are now facing the consequences; - the one who risked his life for the State but has been left behind; - the one who had everything but lost it all; - the one who mews! Return to Krushvice 6 and serve the State and Wise Leader well! ** Available through in-app purchase • 3D Touch. Force touch will open the characters interaction menu. • iCloud. Apparently by the same developer as "This War of Mine" so my expectations are high. It's been out on Steam for a while if you need reviews or gameplay videos. This iOS version comes with a hefty update tho so keep that in mind when looking at comments. Really interesting premise, can't wait to give it a shot! Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #4 Kainamor, May 17, 2017 It looks really great on my iPad mini 2. The controls are flawless and don't feel awkward at all. Great music and sounds. So far a really well put together game. I will be playing more tonight. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #5 skoptic, May 17, 2017 I don't think this is true, seen the comment in a couple of places, but think it isn't the case. Really looking forward to playing! Thanks for clarifying # Peterplodocus Active Member Sep 23, 2015 38 0 6 #7 Peterplodocus, May 17, 2017 Looks intriguing! Is every playthrough totally unique with new sets of tenants each time or is it more 'level' based with the same tenants as a starting point? ashmike3 Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 660 9 18 #8 ashmike3, May 18, 2017 Last edited: May 18, 2017 Good question. ##very intriguing game. You talk to tenents, gather information, steal from them, blackmail. Have them arrested, or not. Failing missions cost money, but you can make money stealing and selling, or blackmailing. To be honest, I'm not sure where it's going yet, but it is very stylish and fun to discover. Install cameras, get items for your family. Good so far. ashmike3 Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 660 9 18 #12 ashmike3, May 18, 2017 Appears to be the same tenants. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #13 Kainamor, May 18, 2017 Okay, wow, this game is deep, challenging, and fun. I am already learning some important strategies. Like rent an apartment to Jones, that guy is a cash cow for illegal things you can steal to use for blackmail. I don't want to give any spoilers because the journey is fun but I will tell you there is a need for a lot of cash early game. I realize now that if you wait until the last moment to file you reports with the ministry or for tasks it gives you more time to earn $$$. I plan on putting a lot of time into this game. There is so many different possible story's and replays I just want to dive in. Guess that could affect replayability given you start with the same tenants every time, I was hoping it would be random scenarios each time Derprozess Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2012 279 0 16 Engineer #16 Derprozess, May 18, 2017 Last edited: May 18, 2017 Thank you for the impressions, downloading now Edit: will take a while :/ solarnya Well-Known Member Jul 22, 2015 903 285 63 Male Close to Tokyo, Japan #17 solarnya, May 18, 2017 this game is awesome!! and also this game supports Japanese language(but still weird ones...) anyway if you have to go out, buy iTunes code, redeem and download this one!!XD Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #18 Kainamor, May 18, 2017 So I am in my second play through and as far as I can tell there is a lot of replay value here. So you have six rooms you can rent. There are different available tenants at different times. So say you have 2 available rooms with 4 available tenants means you will only see 2 in this play through. Also there seems to be many different ways to handle each situation giving different outcomes. Defard Well-Known Member May 25, 2011 322 15 18 UK #19 Defard, May 18, 2017 Personally I think its more of a 'papers please' vibe than 'War of Mine'.
