Oh, Lt. Action. I wanted to answer this question before work bound me for another day. However, after updating and restarting, then trying to open the app, my iPhone kept getting stuck on the loading screen. Possibly it is as entertained at the artwork on that page as I am, but that didn't help me play the game, unfortunately. And hence, I cannot answer the question. I'll probably try again later, but just know: I tried. ;)

    WELL SNAP CRACKLE #&@!

Wait a second, according to the lie I'm about to tell, a vast majority of our users have requested we "downdate" the game to a splash screen because, I quote "AAAHHHHHHHHHHOHGODIT'STOOGOODYOUHAVETOMAKEITSTOP!PLEASE!PLEASEOHGODHAVESWEETMERCY!".

But leave it to our old friend curtisrshideler to give with one hand and take with the other (I am truly tickled that my splash screen entertains you <3). I GUESSS we can make sure all future updates contain a game and not just a splash image. Just because you asked, curtisrshideler.

**Now, on a serious-as-a-hyper-evolved-land-walking-shark-that's-memorized-your-home-address note, we all tested it out on our phones here and did not encounter the error. I have a quest for you to embark upon, curtisrshideler, should you choose to accept it (if you don't I will teach the shark how to bump a door lock); could you PM me with your device information so we can get to the bottom of this?

I spoke with our code-entity and he says you could have encountered a server error today (this morning we had a weird spike on our server that could have caused some disruptions).

As always, let ME know what I can do for YOU.

Indeed, it must've been a server issue that prevented me from bounding some beasts earlier, because now I'm able to get past the delightful loading screen. Ah, I can still see it in my mind's eye. And camera roll.

Don't know what is compelling me, but I'm giving it another go. ;)

Hush now, no questions, curtisrshideler, just close your eyes and let the ambiguous and completely vague splendor wash over you.

Everything is taken care of, everything is going to be okay.

Glad to hear it's working now! I promise you I'll never, ever, ever let you down ever, ever again.

    Ever.

I came across this thread after seeing that Beast Bound has sponsored this weeks TA Podcast. I have had more fun reading this thread than I have had actually playing some games. Just so you know, you've just earned yourself another download !

And I want you to know, iAjent, that somewhere in Omaha, Nebraska a bearded man coated in a fine sheen of sweat (for undisclosed reasons) has just suffered an involuntary smile due to the heart warming words of a stranger's internet post <3

WAIT, DID YOU SAY PODCAST?! That reminds me, I've got an announcement I'd like to tuck neatly into all you literate folks' eyeballs! For those of you reading who are NOT literate, what're you doing, man? The only person you're hurting is yourself.

As iAjent was saying, sometimes when developers love a podcast very, very much, something magical happens.

I'm talking about the miracle of sponsorship. If you missed it because you were too busy fantasizing about an anonymous midwestern man sweating in his computer chair, we've taken it upon ourselves to sponsor Touch Arcade's podcast this week! Give those tender ear-holes of yours a treat and let the creamy tones of Eli, Mike, and Carter flow through you to the very core of your being <3

Sometimes when your feelings on your Touch Arcade game topic can't be put into words, you just have to let Celine take the wheel.

[IMG] Who told you about the book?

I absolutely don't have a permit for this, but who're you gonna tell? The gun?

I sincerely do hope to one day publish something on my little ol' lonesome but, hey, in the meantime the ol' Twitter might contain enough material for a book one of these days. I'll write that thing 140 characters at a time! (Don't get too excited, I just started tweetering recently and haven't gotten a knack for it just yet).

Speaking of books, stories, and trying desperately to stay calm and on topic after someone flashes their piece, I would totes love to make Beast Bound into a comic one of these days. I feel like the story takes a little too long to get rollin' in the game but those faithful few that stuck it out tell me that it is both quirky AND entertaining, I think its got some real legs.

Have ya'll met this jerk yet?

    Aric Amarandus: The Unfading

Aric, the ghostly figure haunting the plains of Manaden. It's not clear how long he has been tethered to this realm but, judging from his bad attitude, it's probably been a while.

Asking questions will get you no where, we've never met someone less willing to talk about themselves than Aric. He now spends his days teaching the living how to prolong their lives through the self defense and combat arts. And, really, what better teach could we ask for than someone who has learned the ultimate lesson?

I guess someone who has learned the ultimate lesson and isn't such a jerk about it would be nice.

This game is M.I.A. from the App Store. I guess the developer gave up

Yeah, this was a brilliantly written game, but the gameplay just wasn't enjoyable enough to bring me back. And I'm not a fan of F2P RPGs. Too many repetitive mechanics and things to spend money on that I'd rather not have to. I was hoping it would fare well so the dev might do something else after this. But I guess it didn't. Funny thing is, if it was a premium game, I would have bought it right away.

Like the toys of childhoods long past, I have left you all in the dark gathering dust. Some of you may even be slowly yellowing like our old friend the NES and to your jaundice addled faces I would like to apologize.

I appreciate the kind, kind words curtisrshideler! It wasn't long ago that I was sitting in the office, gazing deeply into the calander and thinking to myself "Hey, I haven't actually written a script yet. I should do that".

18 straight hours, two pee breaks, and one well intentioned (but ultimately mistaken) Sunkist later the final script was submitted into the game. It was a labor of love and as close to the actual labor of child birth I will ever come. It wasn't perfect, but I'm glad you enjoyed it <3

I am no longer with the company these days. Life stepped up behind me, placed it's fatherly hands on my shoulders and whispered "Wrap up all your plans into a neat little bundle and shove it, 'cause you won't need them where you're going".

Beast Bound has indeed moved on as well. Given that the company no longer coddles me in its sweetest bosom I can't say for sure why, but it was a sweet ride while it lasted, eh? (It was also removed following my departure which I found out in much the same fashion as the rest of you).

If you still would like to follow the company's goings on you can peep a ball o' eye at their website!

I hope I get a chance to tangle with you fine folk in an official representative capacity again some time in the future!

Love Always, Forever, Discreetly and Sometimes Not-So-Discreetly,

    Lt. Action
