Yes, sure! I've download many favorite games which get free today. I think that I'll play these game until next week or next 2 weeks.
I dont care that i bought this a few weeks ago, i'm glad i can give something to the devs as its a stunning game. It does surprise me however when people dont already have an epic game like this. No IAP's, a great game, need to support these instead of people all downloading it when its free. The more who buy this the better chance we have of a sequel.

How can I support them if they made it completely free in a short time? Well, I am not surprised if people wait for games to go on sale and even better become free!
Not everyone can afford to always pay full price for every game. I'm enjoying this one now because it went free - otherwise, I would have missed out. Pretty neat game. Different, strange, tough at spots, and enjoyable.
It became free real fast and it angered early buyers like me! Sales are bound to happen but not this early and for zero dollars!
How does the sale affect you? Did you lose the enjoyment you had from buying the game? If this angers you so much on an app, you're going to hate real life. Here's a tip about the App Store if you already didn't know, majority of apps usually will either drop to .99 or free within 1-3 months, sooner if the release date is near a holiday. Buying Badland week 1 of release way back in March and Frogmind holding that price until July no way validates them as slapping their customers in the face. Personally I wasn't going to buy this game at 2.99 or .99, it just didn't look that interesting to me. However, I'll give it a go at free and possibly leave a favorable review which helps the dev's ranking on the App Store in return. I've had this happen to me at a much higher price mark for Final Fantasy Tactics which I bought day 1 for I think $15.99, which later went on sale for half price. When I bought it at full price though is how much I valued the game, whether it went on sale or not I was still going to buy it. I'm not going to sit at home cursing SE for sales, who cares, they have a business to run and if it matters that much to me then I need to validate my purchases more before making them.
Why are people complaining about this? We're not talking about the usual circumstances where a dev says, "We're not making enough money...hit the Free switch." This is the 5th anniversary of the app store, and to celebrate Apple chose a small handful of apps and games to go free - presumably just for today, or this week, who knows. Relatively speaking, this is a pretty big deal. If I'm to understand the complaints here, it seems like some folks would rather Frogmind had said to Apple, "No thanks, we're doing fine." If we all actually paused and thought about it, we could all agree that no one, and I mean no one would turn down such a promotional opportunity.
For people who scooped this up free I wanted to recommend using headphones. Really nice sound design.
Anybody who hasnt played this and doesnt get this incredible game for free should throw their device out the window. Then themselves.
Yes, how DARE they make their game go free such a short time after release... and even shorter after a sale!! A SALE!!! It's developers like this that drive piracy and buckholes! I can't believe they actually expect people to give them money after this total SCUM BUCKET move! It's no wonder people steal games when the AppStore is FILLED with GREEDY, BACKSTABBING developers like Frogmind! I'm entitled to more than this! Ridiculous! Simply RI-DIC-U-LOUS! Get over yourselves...
The publicity that comes from having people see your free game is probably huge. People who would never give your game a second thought (gasp, there are people who don't go on TA forum?!) are all of a sudden looking for other games that the dev made since they loved this one so much. So before, they had this group of people who have never heard of them. Now that same group has played and loved their game, might search out their other games, and will def giv their future games a long hard look. That kind of advertising is priceless.
