Everything on this planet has a release date, except App Games. After that Asphalt 8 that can be released until the last day of summer... I will make a sacrifice: NO MORE GAMES WITHOUT A RELEASE DATE! I'll buy a PS4, sit my ass on the couch and use the iPhone as a doorstop.
My boycott of Asphalt 8 is in full effect. I have not bought the game, Gamesloft will not take my money and this demonstration against injustice will continue.

How wrong you are. Gameloft will not have access to the iPad 5 yet so the game will run at its optimum on the iPad 4. Sure, they could release an update when the iPad 5 comes out to take advantage of the new hardware but the likelihood is that you won't see any major gulf between the iPad 4 and 5 for a good few months if not more. With these quick fire iPad updates developers aren't getting a chance to push the current generation to the max (with the exception of the iPad 3 due to the A5X issues) meaning the outgoing generation stays relevant for longer.
guys I heard few rumours, some sayin that the game comes tommorrow or til thursday and some like that the game has bugs and can't run on some devices and that the game could be out in Q4 2013 or 2014 because they are rebuilding this game. please someone tell me the first rumour is correct not the second
Wow, you are right, always thought the ipad was $499.99 cause everything in the US always ends in 99 cents. But checking the applestore it seems like it is $499 as you say. These are things which made me concede being President of the Asphalt 8 Defense Squad up to you with your awesome Asphalt info and your PhD like thesis posts. I dunno, a premiere at the ipad 5 launch would make most devs very excited. Could be a feasible concept. I wanna hear Habakuk's response. How come you didn't just say you were going to shoot him?

In that case, I propose to change the term from "defense squad" to "homer squad" Those are always entertaining. Why the hell would I say that. Ryan's not needed for that. 1st rumor is wrong 2nd rumor is wrong.
Reading this thread is becoming evermore amusing. Particularly the tentative iPad 5 connection. Especially considering iOS 7 isn't even out of beta yet. And still has a beta 6 (possibly 7 considering the big changes) and gold master to get through. And is behind schedule. So late September at best estimate before anything new is possible. Or that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5m haven't even been announced yet. Or that the iPad 5/mini 2 will be almost two months after that happens. If people are going to cling to something or make tentative links, lets at least try and have some perspective and keep them realistic. Or even possible. Its really as simple as Gameloft is perfecting the game. It was always going to be featured on the App Store anyway. Even the stealth release for Gangstar Vegas should demonstrate that considering it released on a Friday, the featured list changes on a Thursday and yet Gangstar was still featured at launch on a Friday. Changes of that kind are really very simple by those that designed and maintain the system.
