And better start to save your money right now. iPad 6, iOS 8 and Asphalt 9 will arrive on September 23 2014, for the same price. Save those 40–80 dollars per month. And don't forget: You can sell your old iPad (used but looking & working like mint new) for a very good price! I think the ipad 5 will cost $499.99 plus 99 cents for A8, so the total net cost is $500.98 plus tax. If Sambo spends his buck on a coke, he will be in trouble.
Absurd, it's absolutely not a delay for the iPad 5. Infinity Blade's probably the game going to be showcased at the event; Apple wouldn't bother with another arcade racer like A8. Snowball's chance in hell that Gameloft would delay their game a month+ just for this, especially after the past two delays. And way to buy into the "shiny new device, must haz naow" mentality.
I calculated $499 (that's the price for the most recent and "smallest" iPad 4 since Apple mostly translates the prices of the previous devices to the new ones and makes the older iPads cheaper some days or weeks later) + $.99 (Asphalt 8: Airborne) = $499.99.
Not again please! Infinity Blade was already featured in keynotes. They surely don't want to leave the impression that there is only one technically relevant game for iOS.
They have also featured Infinity Blade II, Dungeons, Lili, Real Racing 3, and some puppet game, the name of which escapes me. But IB has always been the darling of iOS devices, especially as it's an exclusive title to iOS. The point was, there's about as much chance that MC5 will get featured at the Keynote as A8 has. I.E., close to zero.

Admittedly good point. But they could showcase/compare how perfect and 99.9 % stable A8 runs on six iPads 5 in local multiplayer mode and how crappy on the newest Android device in single player mode. (Just kidding.) I guess we'll have to wait and see… Even Eli the Hodapp (touchArcade chief editor afair) wrote recently that there could be something strange going on: And: Well that's not even an August status… And: Congrats! The first word with some kind of a rating by Hodapp about an Asphalt game! Since ever as far as I remember. You see? Asphalt NEEDS to be featured. Even Apple got that in the meantime…
