Thanks for trying it! It's an old game! It's on the list to be updated so it won't crash due to iOS7, but I'm not even sure that Apple accepts non-retina games these days (yes, it's that old!). I still think it's fun, so will see what I can do! It's on the list! You raise a good point. What I'll do is build it as a universal build for testers. If they can get used to it and/or like it then it'll be universal. My main concern is people not enjoying the game on smaller devices if that's all they have! QS =D
I'm inclined to agree with you! Infinite was made with the iPad as the base version (for easier universal building - this is my first universal build game!) BUT... The 'usability' of it was based on the iPhone. Specifically, I imagined commuters on the London tube only having one hand free and wanting to play a game! This works. I, and others, have done exactly that! What I didn't count on was people playing it mainly on the iPad (which you can see evidence of in this very thread!). I'm certainly thinking more about how each device is used. Which is why I'm not sure SOS will work 'as intended' on smaller devices. We'll see what the testers say! Some real progress being made on SOS now btw - but I've been cut down with excruciating back pain, which is putting a bit of a dampener on my efforts. Still soldiering on though! QS =D
Holy Sheep! This came TOTALLY out of the blue! :O http://toucharcade.com/2013/12/18/air-supply-infinite-review-rotational-retro-running/ Getting an actual *review* from TA is something I'd been resigned to never seeing for one of my little games! Thank you Mister Musgrave for your kind words! And a huge thank you and sheepyhugs to you lot in this thread - you have kept me going, opened my eyes to a few things, made me giggle now and again and you got my game reviewed. You got my game reviewed. Honestly, that's lovely! I have to tell my folks now. It'll mean nothing to them of course, but I'll have fun saying it anyway THANK YOU! QS =D
Honestly, so happy to see such a great review on the front page. We'll deserved, feller. We'll deserved indeed!
Whoop, woop, woop!! It's a really good review too, nothing less than you and your little game deserve! A nice early Christmas present indeed, Sheepyhugs all around!
Stop it! You'll make me cry! It really is a lovely Xmas present! Yay! It's a very very kind review, and it certainly looks like the reviewer totally 'got it' - which is always ace! Thanks for taking the time to play it if you're reading this Shaun, and thanks for writing about it - very glad you liked it! As for the rest of you in this thread... c'mere! *sheepyhugs* QS =D
An awesome review for an awesome person. You totally deserve such a great review. Congrats congrats congrats.
You're making me blush! Thank you for your kind words as always! I'd honestly given up getting a TA review, to the point that I almost didn't bother sending them a promo code. I'm glad I did! But the real reason it got a review, I believe, is because of you lot. You've certainly all re-lit my fire! Now I just need to get my back sorted! QS =D EDIT: I'm stupidly excited btw - I need a sit-down and a cup of tea
I want a cup of tea now.p, and a good old custard cream. I cba to go downstairs and make one though. Wind is picking up , and it sounds cold so it's def gonna feel cold if I drag my arse out of bed lol.
It's all a bit too much really! I keep thinking of Picard being interrogated by the Cardasians... "There... are... FOUR... Lights..." (I've lost all the non-trekkies I know!) QS =D
Forgive me, it just seemed so appropriate! (and this should answer your question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Luc_Picard ) QS =D
Oh no haha, I put it in quotes bc I was PRETENDING to be a Trek-n00b And haha, that was a very appropriate meme! I'm sure that'll help a few people out tho (;
Ah! My bad! You can never tell how old a person is online, can you? It's perfectly possible that there are some on here that are too young/not interested to know who Picard is Still, we ended up with a nice setup! QS =D
Super excited about this game after the review on the TA main page. I read through the thread, and I couldn't help but pick it up. I won't be able to install for a week or so (long story), but I can't wait. And you're a Star Trek fan, too! I'll definitely be creeping around this thread for the foreseeable future.
Welcome to the thread! *shuffles everybody along one place* And thank you for picking the game up! In an environment not short on great games, and a lot of them free, I really appreciate you and everyone else that liked the look of this and gave the game a chance! Thank you! I really hope you like it! As to Star Trek... well, I love it, along with Star Wars, Aliens, Doctor Who etc etc I like to pepper my games with references to stuff I like! A cursory glance at the achievement titles will give you an idea perhaps! There's also (and I'm not sure how many have noticed this) some crazy stuff when you start the game up. When the sheep appears on the title screen on boot up, there's some 'help text' underneath the sheep. After a while it kind of changes to general chat. Some quotes maybe. A joke here and there Then there's game references - the 'Toasty' one is probably the most obvious (from Mortal Kombat 2) but if you leave the help text to 'on' and have no smart bombs and very little air left, it'll say something like 'Sam needs O2 badly' - a shout-out to Gauntlet from the arcades! You don't have to get the references of course. It takes nothing away from the experience. But if you *do* get them - I hope they'll make you smile! Please do let me know what you think when you get a chance to give the game a go! QS =D
