Although the armor and weapon customization go deeper than infinity blade. Dont expect a full on monster hunter experience like the PSP. oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #5 oooooomonkey, May 31, 2011 Omg instabuy for me gwet17 Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2011 1,636 0 0 #6 gwet17, May 31, 2011 So soon? Like how are weapons acquired? Do you just get them randomly as rewards, or is their a proper crafting system like Monster Hunter is so famous for? DusT_HounD Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2010 305 0 0 #8 DusT_HounD, May 31, 2011 To be fair to Capcom, they ARE good with periodic updates to releases- i mean, Street Fighter 4 got at least three major updates, and brought the character roster up to 14, from the original 8, and Resident Evil 4, which was a total shambles on release, was updated to include a lot more content, and currently stands vastly improved. In this case, i hope it will be the same- we definitely need more weapons- where are the hammer, Lance, Hunting horn etc? Also, i think those used to MH will want an option to remove things like the 'danger' sign etc.- a big part of the original was learning the subtleties of how the monsters moved, to be able to read their attacks- this is completely lost if the game has a big prompt to tell you. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #10 Gabrien, May 31, 2011 Going on the video above, controls looked absolutely horrible. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #11 currymutton, May 31, 2011 I agree partially -- Capcom excels in 2D game on iOS but their 3D titles are nothing short of (graphically) terrible. Apart from SFIV, the other good titles are Ace Attorney and, well, Capcom Arcade... (There is another very amazing title, but too bad it is Japan-only for the time being) I am not sure if Capcom lacks the technical skill to put up a decent 3D engines and/or she does not find it worthwhile investing much on this platform (look at her line-up on N3DS for comparison) Sorry for off-topic. DusT_HounD Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2010 305 0 0 #12 DusT_HounD, May 31, 2011 True, true- looking at Dead Space and such high-caliber titles, it's pretty clear that Capcom's mobile division aren't really up to scratch. Still, i remain cautiously optimistic for Dynamic Hunting- if it receives regular updates, it may become worthwhile. yongkykun Well-Known Member Feb 12, 2009 909 0 0 3D Animator Indonesia #13 yongkykun, May 31, 2011 What I'd like to know is whether it's universal or not and if not, would they release the iPad version on the same day? Though the game looks brilliant from the pics, but the video... dear me. The dragon's animation looks stupid and the control scheme doesn't seem to be as good as Infinity Blade. But I guess, I'll wait for someone to post a video review for this one. dumaz1000 Well-Known Member Jun 5, 2010 1,074 0 0 #14 dumaz1000, May 31, 2011 Making it cheap. Sell it cheap. When it comes to the appstore, that's how most developers roll. You want the real deal, be prepared to fork over $40 for it, like everyone else has to who doesn't own an iDevice. Otherwise, you get what you pay for. If you are not a veteran of the series, the full-fledged Monster Hunter experience is one of the brutally hardest games ever devised. It will absolutely eat you alive if you are a noob. In this instance, unless you've already play substanial amounts of this game, be glad that it ain't the real deal. thebleeptruth Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2009 288 0 0 #15 thebleeptruth, May 31, 2011 Looks fun. Same goes for Lego Harry Potter, GTA:CW, PuzzleQuest 1-2, etc. not to mention games like Chaos Rings and Infinity Blade that are so much better on other platforms that they don't even exist . Seriously, though, dumaz is right about the difficulty of the PSP version of MH (though what fans attribute to hardcore design I credit to crappy camera controls). I think the decision to give the game an Infinity Blade make-over on iOS is a good one. I for one an looking forward to trying this out. I'm a big MH fan , HR 9 on freedom unite for those who plays . First you cancel the release of mhtri for the ps3 now this ? Seriously , just don't make it any worst . It plays perfectly well on the psp , 1000000% more challenging and fun . The controls look terrible in the video . I'll definitely buy any MH game not on the iOS . You need to fix the controls . When I first saw this on TA front page , I knew that you'd need a miracle to pull this off . MH is a fast paced tactical / strategy intensive action TP adventure kind of game and this fails in almost every category . @square, the camera controls will definitely be much better if you learn to hook your finger and manually control it . You're missing out on so much fun . The only reason why I play my Psp is because of MH Ravenblack Well-Known Member Feb 24, 2009 1,755 0 0 Singapore #18 Ravenblack, May 31, 2011 It looks a bit tame. It's a start I guess. Maybe if there's more interest, we'd get something closer to the more challenging monster hunter experience that is on the psp. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #19 currymutton, May 31, 2011 SZ, I think you are in the capacity to quote more. (I would like to stay on-topic from now on) I am not sure if this implementation would please fans of MH, or even appeal to outsiders (like me) in the face of much more fascinating IB...
