Just paid for the full game. It’s really good. I can’t wait to dive in more. Lots to unlock too. Weapons, game modifiers, bosses and mini bosses. But it’s the gameplay where this shines. Tons of fun! It’s different and original but for some reason brings back to playing games in the arcades when I was a kid. And that’s a great feeling. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,966 718 113 England #7 psj3809, Jul 18, 2023 Yeah reminds me slightly of Tempest from the arcades find it weird the ‘jump’ button or move button at the top of the left and right buttons. Think I need to just get used to it more. But yeah I’ll pay to I lock it for sure. Great little game so far anthony78 likes this. Hold to shoot, swipe left and right to move, and hold+swipe/draw line to destination to dash. As psj alluded to, the dashing mechanic being tied to a jump button doesn’t feel the most natural. But can’t imagine how much harder it will get lol. But I got discouraged and then distracted by a documentary game about landlords. Seems very realistic. Edit: Joy-Cons don't seem to fully work; couldn't find a way to dash even though I remapped buttons, but on-screen buttons work great (plus they're customizable). The dynamic random palette was what sold me; I shook my phone for like three minutes while looking at the different color combinations the game came up with, after that, I decided on one to stick to and disabled the shake feature. I also toyed with the screenshake, more like I abused it by setting it to 500% and that was insane, so I set it back to 100%. Love the fact it shows fully detailed stats and the contract signing is quite cool (I hadn't seen that since the NintendoDS days). tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,083 56 48 #16 tops2, Mar 6, 2024 Last edited: Mar 6, 2024 How’s the difficulty now? I see comments in different places about how difficult the game is. I see there’s also app update attempting to smooth out the difficulty. I tried the demo again and can see how hard the game potentially can be. I’m kinda at an age I don’t particularly like super difficult games anymore. The bright side is the unlimited continues. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 833 398 63 Male 95% leisure. I didn't find it terribly difficult, it's just I'm not too good at it and didn't try too many times. I haven't played it since, but I do like it a lot (it's just that between so many games, sleeping or texting, I barely pay any attention to some of the good stuff). One thing for certain is that update you mentioned [from which I didn't know about; I skipped the update history] had a huge impact on difficulty. I remember being A LOT worse at it than I am now, if compared to when I first tried it (a long while ago, I think on launch). Edit: A LOT!!! Edit2: Gave the game another try, remapped controls [again] and this time they worked properly. I don't know what might have happened between the last time I played it and today, but now I can say controls work flawlessly (although I still need a bit of getting used to). The game is hard, I still haven't managed to beat the first boss, but the game's fast pace is almost addictive. tops2 likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
