Super disappointed I’ll have to skip this one. Even though I’m still buying albums, Spotify has become my best friend. *weeps* Unfortunately the iOS doesn’t have the PC version’s feature that allows you to play with streamed music. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #5 anthony78, Apr 7, 2020 Well, it does allow you to use Shoutcast radio. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #6 macplash, Apr 7, 2020 Well yeah, this “open mic” feature works on Windows version only. But even you don’t have a lot of music on your device, you can still use radios from within the game. Which is like an endless source of music anyway. I got Apple Music subscription active so I guess I can always download some stuff instead of listening online if necessary. Doesn’t it work the same with Spotify? ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Apr 7, 2020 So I listen to some really fast music does that mean the levels would all just be brutal? anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #8 anthony78, Apr 7, 2020 I have Amazon Music, which you can download tracks for offline use but it isn’t recognizing them. But I’m good with using a Shoutcast station. Game is too good to ignore. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #9 metalcasket, Apr 7, 2020 Yeah, like anthony said above, there’s probably no way it can recognize offline stuff from Spotify. I dunno if it’s the same case for Apple Music (since you’re actually using the stock music app). Interested to find out! Is there a way to import music directly into the game rather than using the stock music app? That would be a game-changer for me. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #10 metalcasket, Apr 7, 2020 Screw it. This issue aside, the game’s better in every aspect possible in comparison to it’s predecessor. Maybe the UI feels kinda outdated and I liked the sliding menu in first version more but other than that, so many improvements! I’m really impressed they were able to bring already great game to another level. Also the different ships is a fantastic addition. What a great game! edit: it asked me in the beginning for permission to access my Apple Music but since I don’t have any downloaded offline, I went straight for online radio option. —————— EDIT2: btw, my ID is 5406464, so add me to your friend lists and share yours! BaronMunchausen Well-Known Member Feb 22, 2017 57 13 8 #19 BaronMunchausen, Apr 8, 2020 Okay. Yes, there’s a way of putting in whatever music you have on your lappy. Just open iTunes and connect your phone. Click the iPhone tab. Here, you should be looking at a general page that shows your phone’s name etc. Make sure you don’t have it set to automatically sync. If you scroll down (which is what I always missed because it’s not very obvious), you’ll find an option to manually transfer music (or manually transfer files). Click on this. At that point, you’ll be able to click and drag whatever files from wherever into your iPhone. Is this your issue? I hope so. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #20 metalcasket, Apr 8, 2020 Ooh, no, it isn’t this. Thanks so much though! You see, the problem I have is that I don’t use the Music app. When you sync music from your laptop to your phone, it is transferred directly to that app. Delete it, all the music on your phone goes as well. It’s not Cold Beam’s problem that Apple are extremely strict in this regard...but even when using “external” music players (like whatever Cesium is called these days), you need to have Music.app installed...yeah, where was I? Yeah, so basically, unlike on Android where Beat Hazard presumably scans your device/SD cards for whatever mp3s you have on it, on iOS the game is limited to checking what you have synced up to Music.app. I don’t know if Apple would allow the developers to use File Sharing in this regard, but I can imagine it being a huge, unnecessary overhaul of how BH2 is structured.
