Games were always my escape from the sad reality. But playing games wasn’t enough for me and I wanted something more. I wanted to make games. With that in mind, I started my career as a software developer in 2007 and after 2 years of saving I bought my MacBook Pro and iPhone 3GS with a plan to make games in my free time. In 2010 I moved from Poland to Canada to start a new life with my wife, but my dream about making games hasn’t changed. Now, many iPhones later, after many projects and hours spent, my first game that I developed on the same old MacBook, is finally out. My initial goal was to make something simple and quick. That wasn’t me. It took me over a year but it became my most personal game with a meaning behind every single detail. Now when I see other people playing the game and their reactions when solving the puzzles they struggled with, I know it was worth it. Who knows, maybe my game will inspire someone somewhere out there to became a developer as well. That’s why it’s worth doing! ----- PRIVACY POLICY follow.trail do not collect, store or share any of your data. It never has and it never will. Period. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,459 271 83 #7 MetaGonzo, Aug 10, 2017 Well I got a promo so thank you very much indeed. However, I really don't understood the mechanics at all. I get that you want to keep it minimalist and that's admirable but I'm stuck and I don't know why. What causes the black blocks to appear on the board? Is it level over once they are there because I can't see how to get rid of them. What is the significance of the rows of blocks at the bottom? It may go on to make this clearer in later levels but right now I can't get past the one that I'm on so I may not get that far. I love the style and I bet there's a great game in there, I just wish I knew how to play it. rajieru Well-Known Member Jul 18, 2017 81 2 8 http://devout.one #8 rajieru, Aug 10, 2017 Last edited: Aug 10, 2017 Well it doesn't meant to be available on iPad it technically should "just work" but i can't promise it. I set it up to be iPhone only so not sure how it ended up on iPad. I'm sorry for all inconveniences UPDATE: Ok it works in emulation mode so it should work just fine. the only missing part is icon which I'll add as soon as possible. Either way I'm planning to make make it universal and proper iPad support in the future (plus iCloud sync). Once again sorry! On the first few levels you should see a finger showing you what to do. It should help you to figure out the mechanics if you will follow the instructions. I don't wanna spoil things here so I hope that will be enough for you to proceed MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,459 271 83 #9 MetaGonzo, Aug 10, 2017 I'm past the finger stages and still none the wiser. Oh well; hopefully I'm just stupid. rajieru Well-Known Member Jul 18, 2017 81 2 8 http://devout.one #10 rajieru, Aug 10, 2017 Haha I don't think so The game is a little bit rough and that was a general feedback I was getting but I wanted it to be this way. So the main mechanic is when you step on light tile it decreases the tile value by one (one dot to zero, two dots to one, etc.) and when you step on on a empty or dark tile it increases the value by one (zero dots to one, one dots to two, etc). So the goal is to move from tile to tile, from the beginning to the end of trail, and removing all the dots from a level before hitting finish tile. Here I hope that helps a little! There are also special types of tiles but those ones I'll leave to be figured out by players MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,459 271 83 #11 MetaGonzo, Aug 10, 2017 Ah ha! I see. I'm clearing levels now that I grasp the concept. I still have no idea what the rows at the bottom signify but I'm now not at an impasse and that's good enough for me. rajieru Well-Known Member Jul 18, 2017 81 2 8 http://devout.one #12 rajieru, Aug 10, 2017 The dark row indicates a level you're at and let the light one to remain a mystery... ashwyn7 Active Member Aug 19, 2012 43 0 6 #13 ashwyn7, Aug 10, 2017 Thanks for the promo code. I happened to be lucky to have redeemed one. paulkane Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2012 1,102 0 36 Library automaton Denver #14 paulkane, Aug 10, 2017 Would this be a reason why I am having a hard time moving the blue tile? I have been sliding the blue tile over the next tile I want to move to, but most of the time it does not register; the blue tile does not move. When I slide the blue tile and hover over the next tile sometimes my move registers and the blue tile overtakes the next tile, but I'd say maybe 25% of the time? I'm not having a problem with the concept, just getting the blue tile to move.
