But, designed for iPhones, so if you're using a iPad, unless you have made sure you include iPhone apps in your search, it won't show up in the results. This Is how it's always been. There is one Sega game that hasn't been mentioned yet, but has been around for several years also: Shining Force. But like PS II, it's also only iPhone. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #6 Kainamor, Jun 21, 2017 I am wondering if this release changed that. I loaded AppStore on my iPad and went to Sega games section clicked on For IPad and downloaded. It seems to be no issues with the iPad screen. Mfi working great but man I forgot how unforgiving this game is! I went and grabbed a second knife for my main character then went to the next town and came back to house to get the extra guy(I remembered that much from when I was kid) and I am still getting my but handed to me. Thank god for the clone ships! LOL, can't tell you how fun it is to be playing this right now. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,200 7 38 #7 drelbs, Jun 21, 2017 Last edited: Jun 21, 2017 Yay, all my SEGA apps now have ads! EDIT: Well, not that many of them I guess. Some, like Sonic Spinball crash on loading. EDIT2: This game tells me ad-free mode has already been activated, but is still offering me the "no SEGA ads" IAP... EDIT3: I have to admit I like the modern SEGA evaporating to the classic pixely one... Wish I could get crisper pixels in game though... I always put off getting it in the past and when I was about to get it, it was removed from the app store. It's still my favorite RPG game ever and the whole reason I bought a Sega Genesis back in the day. I still have my Genesis, the game, and hint guide that came with the game. So SEGA would have to make or license a new emulator instead of whipping out their ancient Megadrive emulator from 10 years ago and pretending it's new. How is it on iPhone? orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #12 orangecan, Jun 22, 2017 Well I played it on my iPod touch a few years back when it was first released on iOS and didn't have any issues with it tha I remember so assuming it's the same build you should be fine. Not sure how much the ftp affects the game itself but I remember it very fondly, but then there was a certain amount of nostalgia attached to it from late nights spent with it on the megadrive nkx Well-Known Member May 9, 2015 672 0 16 #13 nkx, Jun 22, 2017 There a one price remove apps IAP RinoaHeartily Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2010 1,715 10 38 #14 RinoaHeartily, Jun 22, 2017 I played this game on dreamcast. During that time with those technologies. This game was excellent. Now.. Just downloaded.. Sorry to say is practically unplayable. This is totally IMHO. I uninstall the moment I was ask to use the joystick to key my name. #### sabre31 Well-Known Member May 22, 2012 58 0 0 #15 sabre31, Jun 22, 2017 Don't give up it's a great game. I do agree if they build a touch friendly interface overlay on top of the game it would be better. The joystick is not very good. Or touch the screen to have the character move there, etc. ArtistWolf Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2014 53 0 6 #16 ArtistWolf, Jun 22, 2017 I agree that the joystick is probably one of the worst I've seen, but I don't think the game is unplayable. In some ways, the joystick takes me back to the old days of only pressing one of four directions, and you have to think about it in those terms. Lift your finger up and press on the up, down, left, or right area and you can move without too much trouble. It's not ideal, but it works. sabre31 Well-Known Member May 22, 2012 58 0 0 #17 sabre31, Jun 22, 2017 I still remember playing the original with my buddy on master system when it came out. We were hooked from the get-go. We spend all night playing it one time and got stuck. We called the Sega hint line which I think was a 900 number and charged like some crazy amount to get past one part we were stuck on and spend hours trying to figure it out. Oh man the good old days..best RPG series ever in my book. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #18 Kainamor, Jun 22, 2017 Share your hints!# jk, seriously this game is tuff. I can't believe I beat this when I was a kid. I still am remembering some little tricks here and there, but I am getting my butt whooped. Final Fantasy was my first RPG but Phantasy Star II got me hooked on them. The late game dungeons are crazy hard without maps. I still use the strategy guide I used 25 years ago.
