Nullzone ð® Spam Police ð Jul 12, 2013 3,669 79 48 Male #11 Nullzone, Feb 3, 2017 Have to say this one is a lot harder than AQ2/3/A at first glance. I tried "Lost Treasure" cause it's ony 3 dungeon levels. Boss on 2nd floor gave my first TPK in an AQ game ever Looks like I have to up my gameplay a few notches. Oh, and I miss an Archer-type character. But I guess you didn't have one in the original AQ1? Graphics look a lot better than the previous games, by the way. Models are much more detailed, I can zoom in a lot closer, and models show their weapon. Don't have armor yet, so I don't know if that shows too. Only thing I am missing currently is a way to tilt the camera angle. The buttons on the lower right could be bigger, especially the one for party movement. And for laziness, a "next char" button in that row would be nice too. Then I don't have to move my hand so much for selecting, which would be good for my RSI. I have all the other AQ products and I absolutely love the series. This version is fantastic. lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #14 lordnedox, Feb 4, 2017 Yes this is much like the board game, it's quite simplified in comparison to AQ2 and AQ3, but it has its own style. Be aware that the quests with random dungeons are even more difficult, really for hardcore players only I've noticed a problem in IAP purchasing on Android, I would like to ask if anybody who has purchased the IAP product had any problem of "invalid receipt" on iOS, or if the transaction went smoothly and ads have been removed successfully. Kindly let me know Cheers Nullzone ð® Spam Police ð Jul 12, 2013 3,669 79 48 Male #15 Nullzone, Feb 4, 2017 IAP worked fine for me. Completed Treasure Hunt yesterday, going for Lost Rune now. By the way, absolutely needs to be able to delete savegames. I triead each char once, and sadly a lot of stuff is pretty useless. Foremost example: The +Movement spells, there's just no use for them. And the Evoker's creatures look way too weak to be anything but speedbumps. In any case, since there is no ingame list of abilities, I'll try to make one when I have time. Or do you have them in easy format (plaintext file), so you can just copy/paste them here? Playing Hardcore is exactly that, but the bonus Gold is worth it. Didn't pay attention for one round, Paladin died and I had to start over as I was only 4 of 10 levels in. And same as with all other AQs, I think you're too stingy with the Gold, at least early on. Usually I can only buy one item per dungeon level. Not exactly much with 4 chars and so many slots. lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #18 lordnedox, Feb 4, 2017 Hi J, yeah sure I'm always willing to change things around if that helps the gameplay! It's a bit late here, but will drop you a mail with the spells list, thanks for pointing that out! Cheers gmattergames Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 607 42 28 #19 gmattergames, Feb 4, 2017 More true to tabletop Heroes Quest than even Rodeos branded version. Previous AQ's never grabbed my interest, all felt a bit tedious and not as polished, but this hits much closer to the mark. While HQ is a beloved board game, and this a faithful homage, one thing I never cared for is rolling for movement, it just adds a layer of tedium to the already cumbersome game-play inherent in turn-based tactics. Always thought move-rolls should be reserved for turns where "extra" movement is needed, perhaps costing a hitpoint due to the exertion. Regardless, as far as AQHD itself, the only real frustration so far is that at the start of each turn, if you tap during the move-roll, the game will actually accept that touch as a move-order on board, inadvertently moving your first char. Seems like an easy fix. Also wish there was more character info, and end-of-level feedback. All minor considering the games many virtues. Nullzone ð® Spam Police ð Jul 12, 2013 3,669 79 48 Male #20 Nullzone, Feb 4, 2017 Got another: the movepoint counter on the portraits is way too small. I can barely read it with my glasses on. @ggames: With dierolls off, it's almost like fixed movepoints. I usually move slow and careful, so it's not a big deal when I get the occasional turn where one char moves only 2 or 3. @Marco: Can you split the "show dice" into move and combat dice? I'd like to see the second, but the first I find too interrupting. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
