However, you can't really compare the two, different genres. DR2 is a tactical battle game (really good one, mind you), with a clear focus on that over story and worldbuilding. Yes, Avadon looks a lot more old-fashioned than DR2, but that's not its focus or strong point. It's a full-blown roleplaying game with great worldbuilding and story. @Jamesrooney: While you don't have to play the previous two to enjoy this one, I do recommend it. There's so much story in it, and the world it plays in is very well crafted. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #10 JasonLL, Nov 18, 2016 Well said. Avadon (and by extension Avernum) are much more in the vein of the grand fantasy PC RPG of years past. What I find exceptional about the Spiderweb games in general is how well written and captivating the stories are. Now my only wish is that Vogel will remaster Geneforge and bring it to the iPad . eksaint Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2015 106 0 0 #11 eksaint, Nov 22, 2016 Instabuy for me. Very excited for this. eksaint Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2015 106 0 0 #12 eksaint, Dec 2, 2016 I'm having trouble with the kemeriahan council quest. Red beard tells you to meet the new hands before he will give you orders and I go and talk to them (all their dialog options) and he still tells me to go meet them. Anyone else experiencing this? Very frustrating Nullzone ð® Spam Police ð Jul 12, 2013 3,669 79 48 Male #13 Nullzone, Dec 2, 2016 I didn't have any problems with that one. What you get looks like a minor inconsistency in the game design/flow. Had to look it up to refresh my memory: http://spiderwebforums.ipbhost.com/index.php?/topic/22363-avadon-3-item-location-and-quest-list-massive-spoilers/ , search for "Khemerian Council" to find the relevant part. Not wanting to spoil anything, so: Doesn't Redbeard - or one of the Hands - tell you to talk to someone not in the camp? After you talked to the new Hands, what does the questlog say? eksaint Well-Known Member Jan 2, 2015 106 0 0 #14 eksaint, Dec 3, 2016 Thanks for the reply. I got it. Think it's a bug but I may have missed something. I talked to the hands repeatedly and then when I spoke to red beard he told me I still had to speak to them. After a couple back and forths I then went through a bunch of red beards dialogue options and then an option appeared to say that I had spoken to them. Im a number of quests past that part now and loving it. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
