First contact has been made with extraterrestrial life forms, and it is decidedly unfriendly. The last remnants of humanity huddle behind a shield that is only a couple of attacks away from crumbling. You are the last hope for our species. You are also a pair of giant pinball flippers. Pinball Breaker Forever tasks you with repelling the nasty aliens who seek to destroy our planet. They keep descending, formation after formation, tirelessly attempting to lay waste to Earth. Use your giant pinball flippers to launch a ball at these conveniently brick-shaped foes and take them out before they can touch down. Just be careful, because while the monsters share the same general shape, they come in all kinds of types. You aren't without your own tricks. Break special blocks to earn power-ups that will give you the edge against your enemies. Collect coins and use them to upgrade your powers and abilities in order to survive longer and reach higher scores. Unlock new styles of flippers that make you look at least 7.46% cooler. Save the Earth now. Celebrate later. Pinball Breaker Forever. Classic Gameplay: Take aim using your pinball flippers to destroy enemies. Aim for skill shots to earn extra points, and make use of classic brick-breaker techniques to clear out a bunch of invaders at once! Hold the Line: If even a single alien gets past you, Earth's last shield will be destroyed. Allow another one through? Good-bye, humanity. Retro-Future Style: If it's the future we're talking about, then it just has to be neon, right? Stylish visuals and awesome tunes keep you flipping to the beat. Radical Power-Ups: Break the right blocks and you'll be able to make use of special balls, powers, and other helpful kinds of support. Lots of Upgrades: Use the coins you collect to strengthen your power-ups, add new skill shots to the board, and pick up cool new flipper designs. Multiple Modes: Choose from three different modes to find the challenge that's right for you. Do you have what it takes to survive Nightmare mode? ************************************************** GameClub is a subscription mobile gaming service. The makers of DRWAPS are back with a new game and I have every reason to believe it will be everything it's cracked up to be! Downloading it now! I would like an Android version to play on the go too! Hope they do it! But this game is a must download game. It's one of my favorite games and I've spent $7 in IAP to support the dev and further development. Look for my in depth review later. For now if you can download it down this now. It's a damn fun game from a dedicated development team. The full premium upgrade is only $2 which honestly is ridiculously low. That said, if you say that the game feels different than a classic pinball game, I'd say that you're probably right. This is a cross-genre, we were trying to establish something unique and a lot of gameplay choices were made to strengthen and unify the concept. So it was never an goal to go full pinball-sim and try to re-create the same points of reference you may have about them, although I completely understand that pinball players are compelled to make comparisons. From the feedback we've got during beta, my impression was that players thought the game was feeling different from classic pinball games but that it was never a real issue and that they soon adapted to the gameplay style. So I hope that if you give it some time, it will work for you as well! Brawwwn Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2015 155 0 0 #15 Brawwwn, May 19, 2016 The ball feels like it weighs 1000 lbs. I'm not arguing the genre or style. I just think the physics feel like shit. Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #17 Sash-O, May 19, 2016 Pinball!? XperimentalZ!? I'm in! The physics in this game are kind of wonky, though. I can't explain it exactly, but the ball just doesn't act as I would expect it to. panama chief Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 193 0 0 #19 panama chief, May 19, 2016 Played the game to see what people are complaining about with the physics. I had no problems. The ball bounced like its a rubber ball. I think the player mindset is "its brick breaker, so the ball should be floaty and spend a lot of time at the top of the screen...breaking bricks" if you throw this idea out the window and accept the game as its own entity, you should walk away satisfied. HotHamBoy Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2015 204 4 16 #20 HotHamBoy, May 19, 2016 Last edited: May 19, 2016 Well on a normal pinball game a flipper is 3" and a ball is 1-1/16" So that's about 1:3 ratio. That said, I've played the game more and I'm quite enjoying it as it is. The ball size and physics are definitely more arcade than pinball, and quite fast, but that's ok! It might be a cool power up idea to make the ball temporarily bigger and floatier, like a real steel ball-bearing on a shallow incline. Also, I don't know if the board alters at some point to include bumper jets and slings, but that might be a cool way to alter the playfield. If you really want some cool ideas for future implementation then you should look to the recreations in The Pinball Arcade for inspiration. Or spend more time with some real machines, if you can.
