But the "dungeons" look a bit too "devious" Anyone tried this yet? Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #3 Sash-O, Jan 29, 2016 Yeah, looks like a copy from one of the ravenous games. Not for me... gemineye62 Well-Known Member Feb 16, 2010 641 0 0 #4 gemineye62, Jan 29, 2016 One could say that Goblin Sword was a clone of Devious dungeon game play etc. But that game was rated even higher than Devious Dungeon one or two by touch arcade. Could this be as good? Hmmmmmm? It's my biggest gripe with Devious / Gobline Sword type games. Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #7 Sash-O, Jan 29, 2016 That's another question, there's no IAP description. I will put some thoughts later. Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #11 Quazonk, Jan 29, 2016 This is a little too Ravenous Games "inspired" for my taste. PrimoBr Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2015 113 0 0 #12 PrimoBr, Jan 29, 2016 Just a warning, this game has ads. But the gameplay is ok, if you are in games like devious dungeons.the iaps are for gold and potions that i don't know the use yet, aside for open some chest in the hub. The ads seem to earn you coins to purchase loot. The game feels like sword of xolan to me, but with better pixels ## It also says it has mfi controller support; I'll have to try that when I get home to my Nimbus. I can say that there will be no exact walkthrough for this coz evertime you fail or restart a level the dungeon changes. It offers IAP btw. Lull4by Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 767 313 63 #16 Lull4by, Jan 29, 2016 Last edited: Jan 29, 2016 ok so I just beat stage 3, each stage has 6 large levels with 1 boss fight. the shop system is linear, which means you need to buy the first gear to unlock the right to buy second gear, there are 5 slots to purchased: weapon, armor, shoes, ring and necklace, every item has different effect. I found that you can exit the dungeon and still keep the money you earn in the dungeon so if you close to death, just exit and find priest. there still are 3 ways to recover your Hp, the first is to level up and your hp will increase and recover, the second is to find the hidden gold box, which have chance to drop red potion, the third is to leave the dungeon and find priest, which cost coin and I guess every time you use him, the cost will be increased, so you will not want to depend on it all the time. there is a function to let you zoom-in and out, which can let you see more things and mobs, and you can still move and attack, it's a good function but lower the difficulty a lot. the boss fight is boring though, maybe the higher stage's boss will be more challenging. anyway, this game is not perfect, but worth to try since it just cost you a buck. demod1 Well-Known Member Oct 9, 2012 414 0 0 #17 demod1, Jan 29, 2016 The fact that anyone would complain about similarities with Devious Dungeons or Goblin Sword boggles my mind. My only complaint about Devious Dungeons was the lack of MFI support, which this has. Looking forward to trying this! chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #18 chief78, Jan 30, 2016 The vid makes the input to attack motion look reeeeeeally slow.....not sure, gonna hold off on this. The East New World seems similar in comparison but much better. Just not sold from what I'm seeing here, and also getting a familiar art vibe (and animation) to that other Dungeon-y game that escapes me right now..... Where have you found a way to access ads? Also, much like you,I was looking forward to playing this with an MFI Controller, but there does not seem to be an option and I could not connect to this game with my Mad Catz Micro. So then I guess the first thing I will cover is the virtual controls. First off, forget everything you've heard about this game being similar to Goblin Sword and Sword of Xolan. This game is in every way an exact replica of Devious Dungeons! With the exception of the controls. In Devious Dungeons you can simply slide your finger back-and-forth between the left and right arrows to turn in either direction. In this game however, you must pick your finger up before pressing the other directional arrow or it will simply ignore the fact that you are trying to change direction. This is regardless of how far apart you move the arrows in the controls customization screen. This can make a hasty turn not work out so good and I found myself taking a lot of damage due to this control issue. Not impossible to get past of course, but I would really like to see this fixed. Even more importantly, I would like to see them actually implement controller support. Other than this, every bit of gameplay is exactly the same as Devious Dungeons. Randomly generated levels, secret passageways, red potions in hidden chess, the ability to run backwards while swiping your sword in the other Direction, brainless enemies that all have a unique attack pattern and strength, finding the key to unlock the giant portal door… even the infamous shop in which you can buy new weapons, armor, necklaces, rings etc. You're not really finding anything new here. But if you enjoyed the heck out of Devious Dungeons the way I did, it's probably still worth a go. The asking price is low enough. But if you played the first Devious Dungeons, and found yourself not at all interested in the sequel, you have absolutely no reason to pick this up. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) the weapon have 2 values, attack and speed, so as you buy another weapon, the speed value higher, the attack speed will be quicker, the first weapon's speed is really low though.
