I'm a sucker for all things Kairosoft, and this one looks cool. Can't wait to get into it. This one is number 24 for me... I'm going to fill up a second screen with Kairo apps pretty soon if they keep releasing games at this pace. Not that I'm complaining !!! touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #5 touchy85, Jul 25, 2015 gameplay video Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Drucifer Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2010 1,568 1 38 Canada #6 Drucifer, Jul 25, 2015 Huge Kairosoft fan here but I must admit this is the only title I've seen so far that I do not even feel compelled to play. I'll buy it anyway I'm sure but fishing just isn't my thing so I'm not sure if this will hook me like most of their other titles. powlicious Member Jun 27, 2013 13 0 1 #7 powlicious, Jul 25, 2015 I love their games, but imho they release so many games, i can't decide which of them i should play. And in the end i play none of them... Any recommendations? What are your favorites? And why? Theme/Setting isn't that important for me - guess that's perhaps the reason I don't know what to play matyou98 Well-Known Member Jun 18, 2012 293 3 18 #8 matyou98, Jul 25, 2015 These are must haves Game dev story Dungeon village Mega mall story If you like the above games and want some other fun games Kairobotica World cruise story Epic astro story Fish pond park The other games not mentioned are also a lot of fun as well. I have them all and every game of theirs has a certain charm. I truly don't dislike any of their games, but I do like some better than others. Saw fish pond this morning as a new release and bought blindly without reading a thing about it. So far is has been fun and relaxing which is what I love about all kairosoft games. Make it semi-sims like but with everything you can do with each game. I've probably done about 5-6 of them on iPhone and now it is to the point where it looks more like a chore to me unless it has something really special about it. I'm definitely going to skip this one and just keep watching out for something more like Game Dev Story, Mega Mall, Ninja Village or Dungeon Village. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #11 orangecan, Jul 26, 2015 Yeah me too.... I used to buy them on release but I'm at the stage of waiting for sales to happen Nycteris Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2012 86 0 0 #12 Nycteris, Jul 27, 2015 I tried Game Dev Story and really didn't like it, it frustrated me. I thought the theme on this one sounded good. Am I crazy? Should I look at different titles? Kaje85 Active Member Apr 17, 2013 33 0 0 #13 Kaje85, Jul 29, 2015 This is their weakest game IMHO. Very limited, and it's pretty much just a tile placing game. I can't recommend a purchase at all, let alone the current price. ramon31 Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 843 0 16 Hortacultrist Australia #14 ramon31, Jul 29, 2015 $3.79 is not that expensive, actually it's pretty cheap when you think about it. If any of there games appeared on the 3DS Eshop they would be a bargain, they would also suit the 2 screens as well. bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #15 bigrand1, Jul 29, 2015 If this was just a fishing game, I'd be interested, but these build-a-town, managing-type games don't do anything for me at all, so whatever.... andreadeda Well-Known Member Mar 6, 2013 174 43 28 #16 andreadeda, Jul 29, 2015 To be honest i also think this might be their weakest title and i played them all; i'm only a couple of hours in but usually at this point i should have already been introduced to all the mechanics of the game; well the game is shallow, some fishing some tile placing but not much really going on compared to their previous titles. It's slow and quiet boring so far. Pity, i think if they just went for a fishing sim they could have done much better. Kaje85 Active Member Apr 17, 2013 33 0 0 #17 Kaje85, Jul 29, 2015 Price doesn't matter as all of their games are at similar price points. For the money, comparatively, this just isn't worth it. Maybe gove a town-buildy one a shot like Hot Spring Story, or a shallow-simmy one like the soccer one or Gran Prix Story, but wait for a sale. Game Dev Story was the first translated, but it's mine and a lotta people's favorite. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
