Join the expedition to the Nono Islands on a quest for long lost treasures. But be aware, the islands are far from uninhabited! The treasures are heavily guarded by the Nonos and their army - the spiders, the sharks, the jumping skulls and many others. And if you in some way manage to get past them, the hidden traps will get you for sure. Good luck avoiding the spikes, flying darts, sawblades and boulders. Good luck, that's all we can say. Good. Luck. Furdemption, only then you should have a closer look, or if you're also a little fan of Illusion Labs. I'm both. While the controls are very responsive, the hero's angle at times could give you a headache/head shaking/frustration/..., and you're never quite sure if you should swipe (left/right/back) or just tap to move a tile forwards, but that's only until you get used to it...if you go that far. To unlock the game (=all checkpoints) you can shell out $3, what i already did. Nice to feel as Indiana Jones again. Btw, i have no idea how many levels/islands this game offers. A clearly miss in the Devs description, but to repeat myself, i'm a fan and i want them to stick around ios. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #4 touchy85, Jul 8, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel IPlayGame Well-Known Member May 29, 2015 213 0 0 #5 IPlayGame, Jul 8, 2015 Gameplay by IPlay GameChannel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel binlabu Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2014 433 0 0 HO CHI MINH CITY , VIET NAM https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjmmjgzHZu-YUVtd0i2oKRA #6 binlabu, Jul 8, 2015 Video Gameplay Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I love this game Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #7 Qwertz555, Jul 8, 2015 Rofl, more videos than imps, but thanks guys, you're doing a great job. This is growing on me and goes from like it to love it. Fantastic adventure music with great jungle noises underline the fast and very challenging gameplay, if you're going for speedrun each level. Or take your time, but it still needs you to memorize certain fast tasks to stay alive. I was wondering about the impossible GC times some players had, until i found out that with every artifact you collect, the time would stop for a short moment, giving you the time to plan ahead you're next few moves. Very nice feature in my books, as well as this game is playable in land- and portrait mode. If you're reaction is (very) fast enough, you even can save yourself with the opposite input you made before. The game has 6 islands with 7 levels each, though you only unlock the 7th when you collect all 6 scrolls before. Some are more or less hidden throughout each level. That's clever done to give you some replay value. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #8 NOEN, Jul 9, 2015 This isn't too bad of a game. Only (little) issue I have is that the camera in paned back behind your guy or girl and every so often you can't see what kind of block is in front of you. Other than that, it's pretty fun. It gets tough at times too. @Qwertz: LOL about the gameplay vids. That's part of the reason I slowed down. I figured the world didn't need another gameplay video. (Although, I kind of miss doing them.) _Marcus Active Member Apr 19, 2013 39 0 0 Sweden #9 _Marcus, Jul 9, 2015 Hello everyone, I'm Marcus from Illusion Labs. I hope you like our new game. Another thing would be that i had to jump on an artifact tile and the spike tile behind me would leave the screen. In many games i could go by the sfx sounds to find my way out of this position again to progress, but it's almost not possible here, i don't seem to hear them enough. That's a good reason why i love me two separate volume sliders. The "save our hero" move, with an opposite input as before, could be by far more generous. Almost impossible to trigger in time, specially if it was a sideway move. I'm at level 3-5, and they get longer (lol as my death count) and more brain power to memorize the path is needed. My second GOTW nomination for sure. @Noen I miss yours because you included real impressions with your personel outspoken thoughts on (mostly) paid games. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Jul 11, 2015 Had no interest in this initially, but let me just say a little something: This is the perfect iOS game. Portrait and landscape support, a similar unlock to the Mediocre Games unlocks, controls absolutely made for touchscreens, the whole speedrun aspect. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Roleki Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2012 432 0 0 #12 Roleki, Jul 11, 2015 Well I just have to say this game is totally awesome! The difficulty is spot on and level construction is genius. As someone else pointed out, it can be irksome not to see the step in front sometimes--couldn't we have a "top down" view toggle or something so we can see (but not move) from over head. Also, on more than one occasion, I've had my "tap" read as a "swipe down" resulting in failure and having to start the level over--this can be a tad frustrating...could this be tweaked a little to get better differentiation? Having great fun with this though, and I'd love to see more levels and/or a follow-up. Nono Islands isnt exactly insta-check-me-out name either so that didnt help. However i got a recommendation from a friend here, so i tried it, and damn was i wrong to ignore this. Now im $3 poorer and im wasting time like im skipping school Suggestion for improvement: a restart button in-game. Maybe only add it to those who bought the full unlock. But a highly addictive high-score chaser like this definitely needs one. EDIT: another suggestion... The game also needs a tap anywhere to restart after a game over. It shouldnt be a button in the middle... This game is tops! jibjelly Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 356 0 0 #14 jibjelly, Jul 11, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,837 3 38 Military #15 pluto6, Jul 11, 2015 Playing on the suggestion of a friend. I love illusion labs and own all thier other products, but i dont like the freemium model here. Essentially you sort of get one level to try the game out. Past that, if you die, you either start over from the first level, or you essentially have to re-buy the game. One can wait for a free life (2minutes - seems a bit long for a level if done correctly will take 10-15 seconds at most - talking about the 2nd level), or one can start from the beginning of the first level. I will probably purchase at some point just because illusion labs does a great job with their games, but a 4-5 seconds level (1st level) is not much of a taster IMHO. Purchased, mostly on the great games they have had in the past, but having a lot of fun with the very clever routes. Probably wont be a high scorer, but hopefully there are game center achievements (havent checked) and will definitely try and pursue those. jordantheonlyone Active Member Jul 11, 2015 35 0 0 #20 jordantheonlyone, Jul 11, 2015 Also agreed (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
