As for game play maybe you would want to go with the original first which is Spartan Assault. And if you really enjoy it then you might see the addition and improvements they bring into Spartan Strike. But all in all I don't see how it matters. Spartan Strike is definitely a newer game thou since it only just got release now after numerous delay. Pretty surprising to see this landing on iOS thou. And Strike currently is only for Windows / iOS and Windows Mobile.
