The best one I've played this week is actually the free one "band of monsters". I wonder if this one is similar since it's made by hit point. Band of monsters is ridiculously addictive. The iOS gaming scene is severely lacking of MFi-enabled JRPGs. PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #4 PeteOzzy, Feb 5, 2015 I'm in agreement, definitely. I find it hard to get excited for Kemco RPGs these days but with monster collecting elements there's no way I can abstain. I'm not sure what it is; whether it speaks directly to my inner child or just triggers my imagination, there's something compelling about the sub-genre. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #5 L.Lawliet, Feb 5, 2015 Agreed! Looked up the trailer and it looks great. Actually seems like the battles are live action (running around and summoning monsters) and not turn based. I think it could be fun. Also it says evolution so that's a nice change from band of monsters (which was mixing and not evolution). Google play doesn't have much comments besides one person saying it's short. Overall rating is a 4.5 however but it was out only a few months ago. Screw it. Buying it now. Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #6 Vovin, Feb 5, 2015 True, Lawman. This doesn't look like a JRPG because the trailer seems to show real-time combat. I am surprised. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #7 L.Lawliet, Feb 5, 2015 Wow it's pretty fun so far. Also the translation / dialogue seems to be up to par with EXE. I'm already laughing at the story. The main character is a complete asshole. Gameplay is simple and fun. The menus are really easy to navigate and the controls are spot on, not clumsy like some of the other releases. Art is really vibrant which I love. I think for HP, Band of Monsters is going to be my favorite game and anything modeled off it should be fairly good. You can tell this is the same team that made the other Monster game because of the way the sprites move, the mouths on the portraits (which is uncommon in Kemco games), etc. Because of my experience with the other game I'm hopeful for this one. I guess I will give this one a try just because. lol L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #14 L.Lawliet, Feb 6, 2015 I really like it. I mean, it's still pretty cheap even at sale price so I don't mind. It's fun and I think half the charm is the dialogue. This is the most aggressive dialogue I've ever seen in a Kemco game. I absolutely hate the main character but he's rather entertaining. Goes around with a pretty girl but he's such an asshole. Only complain is that you pick zones to go to. You don't actually traverse the world. There's a map but you pick points. So simply speaking there's no world map travel. You auto travel. This could be a deal breaker for some. Nonetheless, the game is so far pretty simple and fun. It is less complex than Band of Monsters but it has a different feel being "live action." I'd say if you like the other monster game this is worth a shot. Travelman31 Member May 26, 2016 11 0 0 #15 Travelman31, Sep 26, 2016 Hi, I am kind of late to the party so to speak. I am playing this game and I am now on mission 19, I think it is the last boss. I can not damage it, just 10 per hit. What monster would you recommend I get/evolve to beat it? I do have a healing beast too, but just need one good beast to kill the last boss. And where is a good place to get black, brown and white gems? I have Cold Betarr, Unies, Asura, Berze Griade, Fello, Big eye at level 30. But they are useless against the final boss. Should I evolve one of those?? What was your strategy for the final boss?
