And also play on my iPhone and iPad. Edit: Also the game is not showing on the CA or UK store for me. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #4 touchy85, Jan 27, 2015 The soft launched version is a different app by a different dev, so no icloud saving. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #5 ste86uk, Jan 28, 2015 I guess I'll just wait instead then. If it weren't for the dungeon part of it I wouldn't even try a platformer like this with just running and avoiding obstacles but the building a dungeon and stealing from others makes it more appealing too me.....depending how the free model works. JCho133 Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 7,907 27 48 #6 JCho133, Jan 28, 2015 I went ahead and dug out my CA account to give it a shot, and boy is it good! Sure it's filled to the brim with freemium tropes, but it's like Super Meatboy had a baby with Castle Doombad and then Clash of Clans was its wetnurse. Tons of fun puzzle platforming, fun Dungeon designing, and the usual wonderful Zeptolab art and animations. I definitely recommend giving it a shot. I'm totally blown away by this, really really good. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #7 L.Lawliet, Jan 28, 2015 Can this be played solo offline? I'm not really interested in continuously protecting my family jewels. I liked Zepto for their full premium offline games i can play anywhere so I'm hoping you can at least play part of this without that multi-player aspect. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #8 ste86uk, Jan 28, 2015 So if it has no iCloud and it's by a different Dev as a softlaunch anyone know of its worth putting much time into or is it just worth trying a little bit to see if I like it when it does come out. No idea if there's anyway to save ect or if they will wipe it all anyway. Cherway Active Member Dec 24, 2014 35 0 0 #9 Cherway, Jan 28, 2015 I think there will be no wipe. No good dev will uninstall their playerbase and freak the progress. It's much easier to make transfer than face and work with the wrath of users. Especially for famous companies. So if it's really Zeptolab, everything should be fine. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #10 KeKhan, Jan 28, 2015 I'm having a ton of fun with this little gem. Not really a fan of platformers usually, but this game hits a nice balance. The levels are quick and fun, and being able to challenge other players with your custom base, upgrading traps and layout is really cool. I love that before you can save your base layout, you have to beat it yourself. This means that your layout is actually a representation of your personal skill, not just your upgrades. Pretty cool. Great, innovative, and fresh. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #11 ste86uk, Jan 28, 2015 Last edited: Jan 28, 2015 As for base layout it sucks how the best defences cost gems but I'll see how hard they are to earn. Bases seem to change often as you level up and progress through the game. All in all so far I do want to see more as even the levels and attacking other players is pretty good and involves some strategy. The dungeon design adding in that you have to beat it is awesome though as you ca make it impossible but if you can't beat it you can't save it. I imagine someone very clever and skilled can make an awesome dungeon in time. The one I just saved took me about 10 tries to beat because I had to get the timing right. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #12 KeKhan, Jan 28, 2015 I was concerned about this as well, but after playing for a bit it doesn't seem to be a problem. The premium currency is easy to earn in game, and you can use it to buy defenses if you are patient. It strikes a good balance IMO. I'm sure harder defenses will cost more over time, but like I said, they are not stingy with the premium currency and it's just a matter of patience vs. reward. There is nothing you can buy that you can't earn in-game. I forgot to mention the crafting - you gather crafting materials and can make different outfits that affect your gameplay. There's also a basic stat upgrade system for different elements of the game, outside of the simple defense upgrades. Still enjoying ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #13 ste86uk, Jan 29, 2015 Aye I've upgraded a few defences and gotten iap currency from lock pick attempts also. I'm wondering as I haven't swapped base to the 3rd yet as I've been attacking players and it seems I need to unlock it by doing the missions but do the previous defences you owned carry on to your next base? Makes it worth upgrading them and buying more then. The costumes with buffs are a nice touch too and don't require IAp which is nice. So far I've had one really bad bug but unsure where to report. Took a few screens of it. On one player I attacked whenever I jumped entering the level it split my guy into about 7 copies of himself and each one had to die seperately for me to fail and they all moved and jumped together but were slightly separated as they were created but then during the level could split up and be everywhere. Cherway Active Member Dec 24, 2014 35 0 0 #14 Cherway, Jan 29, 2015 Are you guys serious? Premium currency usually is the real pain in the ass. Is it possible to play with comfort without it? Highly doubt it... And you're telling me that this game is a kind of exception, aren't you? ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #15 ste86uk, Jan 29, 2015 I'm only a few days in so I can't talk for the long run as I don't know how things work fully when you consider moving your dungeon. You basically have a totem that you use to buff your gems, it can only be used so many times before you have to change dungeon. When you change dungeon you get 3 choices of defence packs 2 costing gold and 1 costing IAP. I don't know yet if I purchase the IAp dungeon defences in one dungeon if I can still use those in the next. If not I would just use the gold items until I got to the final dungeon anyway. It's nothing game breaking or even much harder with many of the defence packs though. It's all about placement. The only real limiting factor that does suck are keys, you generate keys like energy and have to use keys to lock pick into missions and other players dungeons, they can upgrade the amount of key holes too so it takes more and more as they get better but you can also hold more. So it's only fit to play in short bursts and then go away and wait for them to refill really unless you watch a video to get 2 more which I only bother with if I'm already lock picking and run out. But still it doesn't put me off the game not yet anyway. IAP seems fine to me I'm just not overly keen on the keys. But if it weren't for those whoever has all day to play would be the best no matter how good you are so I guess it helps there. As there are leagues you can win and get prizes for winning, if everyone can only play a limited amount it's fair when considering without it someone could play all day while I only have a little time. Cherway Active Member Dec 24, 2014 35 0 0 #16 Cherway, Jan 30, 2015 @ste86uk Sounds nice. Skill-based game with multiplayer aiming to Tier-1 games? We shall see. I wish I could have this in App Store now. Is there any other guys who tried the game? For now we know that this is a platformer-based dungeon keeper. G-d save us. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #17 KeKhan, Jan 30, 2015 I just stole someone's 40k gem, they gotta be pretty pissed Muahahahaha Cherway Active Member Dec 24, 2014 35 0 0 #18 Cherway, Jan 30, 2015 What are you talking about? ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #19 ste86uk, Jan 30, 2015 Ouch that's got to hurt! I'm only 4th in my league can't seem to catch up to the others but I'm not far off 3rd. Also for the question above all players have gems that they can improve in power, this rating from crystal power gives you a league ranking with prizes or promotion to a higher league. You can steal other peoples crystals also but they can come to try steal it back. One problem I've noticed is when I changed dungeon that my defences were automatically placed to be impossible to beat. I can't beat it with countless tries and neither can anyone that's attacked me yet. It placed the red guard, saw and cannon all in the same row and the timing means you can't avoid one without hitting the other or jumping into the saw. I much prefer defences being only skill based as they are when you can only save what you can beat or some lucky people could get to the final Fungeon and end up luckily with an unbeatable defence automatically. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #20 ste86uk, Jan 30, 2015 Any tips for stealing your own gem back? Someone just used a potion that disabled my cannon and stole a gem from me. I went back for revenge and stole a gem back but not my one? I was under the impression of you revenge and beat them you get your gem back. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
