If you have an Android, Kemco's first 3D RPG has been released - Alphadia Genesis. Been waiting for it forever so plan on picking it up when I get home. Would love to hear impressions on this one. You can kind of tell, however, that it's their first 3D game. The battles are good, but don't have that "epic" feel you get playing something like Chaos Rings where the camera swoops around and the effects in general aren't as good as SE's 3D turned based battles. I'll see how I feel later on. It's a good game, no doubt. Just think I had a little too high expectations. Certainly as good or better than other Kemco games. EDIT: Want to take that back a bit. The more I play the more I'm enjoying the 3D aspect. No, it still isn't on the level of SE games (like the attacking character doesn't actually move up and attack, for instance), but it's pretty well animated. Story is good so far and there's even the option for some (Japanese) voice overs. Firefly0704 Well-Known Member Dec 19, 2012 121 0 0 #18 Firefly0704, Feb 6, 2014 The game is ok, just different enough to be good. The weapon skills are solely tied to what weapon type each character can equip (swords for yusis, bows for Cynthia). The game does have sub quests, but so far I've had 3, and (as far as I know) I'm fairly far into the game. Although, I do wonder: what anime were the devs watching when they got the idea for this? savvy Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2012 71 0 0 #19 savvy, Feb 8, 2014 the game is alright, good enough to get me to the end at least. that being said, anyone else finish the game yet? it basically unlocks all the endgame extras. the message talks about the Spoiler secret arena - and yes, there's even a second secret arena within the first , then it just says to play the whole game again (revisit all the towns / dungeons) and search everywhere for "more secrets" ive revisited every town so far and now about halfway through the dungeons and nothing's new (no new npcs, old npcs say the same thing). wondering if there really is any other extra stuff or the end game message was loosely translated also, anyone able to get all the treasures in the tower town/dungeon? talking about those treasures on the lower half of the screen on the 3rd and 4th floor. ive checked that whole tower over and over and just cant find a way to reach that lower area. btw when you play on clear save file all the hidden paths show on the minimap and even with that i still cant figure it out someguyishere Member Sep 17, 2012 15 0 0 #20 someguyishere, Feb 15, 2014 Compared to a lot of the other Kemco games, I definitely think this is their best title. At least on the app store, google play has a lot more options! I'm at just about 50 hours, and in the 2nd play through and have unlocked 4 endings so far. It's got some issues of things that could be better, but I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about this title. The secret battle arena is really intense, it takes luck and the right setup to survive, even the final boss on hard can 2 hit kill your whole party, before you even get a chance to move, and takes a very specific setup and strategy to survive. There's a ton of challenge in this title, so if you're thinking about which Kemco game to play on the app store, this is definitely a great title. The graphics are also considerably better than their previous offerings, and it has a genuine anime type of feeling to it. Also you totally don't need the iapp to play all parts of the game, hidden stuff, sidequests etc. It is primarily orbs that can make you more powerful, but you can find the same items in dungeons or with treasure maps. It would just make things easier if you bought some of the iapp, but there's really no reason to buy iapp. Here are some spoilers for those who are on post game: - Secret battle arena is in Spoiler Village of Merhemes - Great post game leveling is on Spoiler the island SW of the village of Kerhn, use exp orbs and gold orbs, with savage blessing and exp boosting item, I've gotten over 1.5M exp in battles here if done right - To get the secret treasure chests in the tower, Spoiler I believe you can only get them on the 2nd play through, when you fall down the pit on the left a new teleporter is there. I did this before turning on the sound system, not sure if you can do this with turning on the sound system or not, the monsters on these platforms are also extremely difficult unless you are very leveled up - The best weapons are Spoiler more based on your play preference and what bosses/arena monsters you are fighting. I find the secret battle arena weapons won in battle and some redeemed for coins to usually be the best, although some other weapons found have higher base damage or better affects tied to them. Since weapons gain 1 damage point for every 10 battles, you can really make whatever weapon you want the best, through a lot of grinding. - There is a secret area Spoiler in the battle arena, well not really secret but easy to miss, there you have to deal as much damage as you can in 20 attacks, I'm still trying to get this to give up the hidden item, but I believe you don't get it unless you can deal 10,000,000 damage in this time - If you steal Spoiler from the secret battle arena boss monsters, most have some of the best orbs in the game, but can only be stolen once - From treasure maps, Spoiler you can get some of the best orbs, even those primarily available by iapp, so once you get a treasure map grab the treasure, it's completely random what you get. The area I mentioned above also loads a lot of red barrels that drop treasure maps, great for farming these there! Just remember you can only hold 1 treasure map, and none will drop again until you use it - There are some hidden monsters that are Spoiler metal slimes, that run away, I'm still trying to kill these as they're like the old metal slime in dragon warrior except a critical means 1 damage, all other damage is a miss. - The second playthrough Spoiler has lots of conversation not available in the first, as well as new endgame dungeons and even a new town. You also get a lot more insights into the true storyline, and some background on sub characters. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
