Collin Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2010 719 46 28 Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Art Director Colorado Springs, CO https://www.theislandsofmisfitcreativity.com/ #8 Collin, Sep 26, 2013 Last edited: Sep 26, 2013 I bought this game and played through all of the Texas levels and now have 10,000 coins, having not bought anything, at all, in the store. It costs 50,000 coins each to open either of the two other level sets. Replaying levels gets you 50 coins each play through. It looked like there was no way to get the next level set unlocked without major grinding or buying coins through IAP. I deleted the game, then re- downloaded it and played through all 20 levels again, just to see if I was missing something, which took about 10-15 minutes. This time after finishing the 20th level there was a cut scene and the next level set unlocked automatically. So, now I'm not as annoyed, and I wanted to let others know a workaround if it happens to them as well. That said, it's a fun, good looking game with limited (so far) replayability, unless you like trying to beat your best time/score for each level. With the exception of being able to unlock the extra levels early by spending 100,000 coins, most of the IAP items appear to be purely cosmetic (hats, outfits and glasses), with the exception of "Super Pancho" packs, which comes in a 3-pack, 10-pack and an infinite pack that costs 200,000 coins. I haven't used any of the 3 you get at the start of the game, so I'm not entirely sure what it does, other than act as a way to skip a difficult level. For $.99 I would recommend it. (Edit) After playing through the Siberian levels, I realized my earlier problem was likely due to operator error. When I finished the Texas levels, I think I went back out to the main level menu instead of pressing the "next level" button, which would trigger the cutscene. Oops. (Edit2) And done. So there are 3 level sets with 20 levels each, and a promise of more countries later. I look forward to them. Johnny-K New Member Aug 2, 2010 3 0 0 #9 Johnny-K, Sep 26, 2013 Great game! Thank you! It takes advantage of the touchscreen and offers fun puzzles with tons of interactivity. The art style is very nice as well and there's a nice amount of content. I'm really enjoying it dclose Well-Known Member Nov 20, 2011 1,866 0 0 #11 dclose, Sep 26, 2013 If "Where's My Water?", "Cut The Rope" and "Cover Orange" all got together on a desert island and produced a love child, it would be this game! Very polished and a lot of fun. Some of the levels can get tricky. It's short, but there's a promise of more levels to come. badbrute Member Jul 26, 2013 11 0 0 #12 badbrute, Sep 26, 2013 Too short! Did you all get a promo code?". It was more of "Game looks great. Is the developer making any money?" Kinda like how the promo code thread for Alien with a Magnet was far more active than the game's thread. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
