That's all u can ask for from a 99c TD. This is just amazing. Constantly upgrading, always something new given and thrown at you. I'm honestly shocked this doesn't have IAPs in it and I can't recommend it enough. Probably this week's sleeper hit. You guys HAVE to get this. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #11 NOEN, Aug 7, 2013 Thanks for pushing me over the fence. I choose not to have any "In App Purchases" in Lumberwhack as I think it can be game-breaking. Let's see if it is possible without FYI. Lumberwhack just recieved 4/5 Stars from 148Apps, I wish TouchArcade also would have time for a review! Here is the latest game play trailer (same as on my website). It shows a bit more how the game will look like in mid-end game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKLzp12F2Mw metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #15 metalcasket, Aug 8, 2013 Welcome to TA, Clas. Glad we're (all of us in this thread) on the same page as 148apps. Very well deserved. Congrats! Now if only you would come to your senses and increase the price. New England Gamer Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2009 6,143 1 0 #16 New England Gamer, Aug 8, 2013 This game is great. I got it last night - didn't know it was out a day or two already!! Controls are really smooth and spot on. I love the different mechanic too - how you collect bananas. Brings something different to the side scroller genre. The characters are funny and the whole gameplay is just plain old fun. The one thing I haven't figured out yet is how/where to find acorns in the level. It says sometimes I collected 1 or 2 in addition to the bonus you get at the end of the level but I have no idea how I did it. Any hints? Bone16 Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 226 3 18 #17 Bone16, Aug 8, 2013 This is one of the best dollars I've spent on a game in awhile. Great graphics, very fluid gameplay even sound (which I turn off in a majority of games) is very good. TD games r not my favorite genre but I can safely say this is my favorite tree defense game currently out there. The one thing maybe u could change would b having the acorns and meat (And whatever else I haven't come across yet) on the ground, flash or something Because they are impossible to see When there are a lot of lumberjacks on the ground. You have my vote for sleeper game of the week. Thanks talf Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Jun 2, 2012 124 18 18 Male Game Programmer Montreal http://joliyeti.com #18 talf, Aug 8, 2013 Good game! Would be nice if we knew what the upgrade (animal/skills) will do before hitting the Upgrade button! The menu interface seems to be inspired from Kingdoms Rush a lot Clas Well-Known Member Aug 8, 2013 49 0 0 #19 Clas, Aug 8, 2013 Thanks for the feedback Bone16. I am aware of that it can be hard to see the acorns and meat sometimes. I will try to fix it in a future update. Though, some test players liked the challenge that you need to jump down to the ground and "search" a little. I'm not really into TD games that much but this is a fresh take with the side scrolling aspect. Also the animation and artwork is superb, and as other poster said ( NE gamer ) its just a lot of fun. Well worth the buck to go ape and throw coconuts at lumberjacks Ok now I'm on the later levels of the first area and it's getting stupidly hard , I've upgraded as much as I can and no matter how fast I try to churn out units the lumberjacks cut through them like butter ( I just got the magnet ) it's almost like it was set up for IAP but I don't think there is any Anyways I hate when games do this, kingdom rush was hard but you could grind for goodies and get heroes. This when you go back to earlier levels you just pick up what acrons are on the ground - maybe 3 . Either I'm missing something or this needs serious balancing. Thank god it was only a buck. Ok I feel really stupid I didn't see the skills tab and didn't know you could upgrade skills- also I'm getting more acorns on earlier levels than I thought. So upgrading the skills has helped a lot - red face 0: (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
