Many early settlers that came to North America were affected by scurvy, and the aboriginal remedy commonly given at the time was a tea made from boiling cedar bark, which is rich in Vitamin C. The islands in Scurvy Scallywags are semi-randomly generated, as are the island names. The names come from a table that has hundreds of thousands of possible combinations. The fact that the first public hands-on coverage showed one called "Monkey Island" is a really stunning coincidence. Seriously. It's spooky. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #16 ojtitus, Jun 5, 2013 Last edited: Jun 5, 2013 Shall I sound the battle cry? Sanuku where are you? We need You! It brings a whole new mechanic to the old "bejeweled" style swap match 3 genre, and the mechanic is the fact that which ever direction you swipe to make a match is which direction the board is going to shift when new pieces come in to fill the gaps you made. Most other games just drop new pieces from the top of the screen towards the bottom, but in this game pieces can also shift left, right, and up! That mechanic comes in handy when you are trying to move your pirate around the board in order to avoid enemies while you collect power, or to move a quest item towards you so that you can collect it. There is also a ridiculous amount if things to collect in this game. Hats, shirts, pants, and weapons not only affect the way your avatar looks, they also affect your stats. By collecting materials you can build new pirate ships that not only look cool while you sale from island to island, they also give you perks like shorter cool down timers or more crew health and more. Plus there are a ton of skills to unlock and upgrade. I played the beta till I beat the game, then I kept playing because I wanted to keep leveling up and completing side quests. I finally stopped because they told me it would be released soon and I would probably need to start over again. Was I upset at the idea of starting over again? Heck no, I can't wait to buy this in a few hours and start leveling up again I hope I don't come off as some kind of shill account, I guarantee you I am not, but I just really enjoyed this game and I want to urge everyone to check it out.
