Marathon are excellent games with great stories and lore. They're worth your time. Come back an' hit me over the head with nostalgia, won't ya, happy childhood? Though I rarely play these games, I really like this emerging trend of porting classic computer titles to iOS. And had I had my pick from ALL the games of my past, Marathon would be just behind Spiderweb Software RPGs, Elite II: Frontier, the Escape Velocity series, and Syndicate. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #7 undeadcow, Dec 14, 2011 How does the IAP work? It truly makes the game look much better, and I play this on a third gen! Master Chief mode can also really help you for hunting achievements on Total Carnage mode, or nightmare mode on this port vidmaster Active Member Nov 23, 2010 25 1 3 #10 vidmaster, Dec 15, 2011 The IAP are: Master Chief mode (basically cheats to help you get through the game) HD Textures (uses the XBLA HD textures, includes environment and baddies) Custom reticules (weapon-specific crosshairs, much better than the white cross) All are completely optional, the full game is included in the free download.
