I might pick this up. I got this a while back somehow on my Mac (for next to nothing, as I recall - it might have been part of a Humble Indie Bundle, but I can't remember), but I've never really played it because I just don't play games on my computer much. It seemed pretty cool, though. I'd be much more likely to play it through on my iPad... if it plays well. I'll be awaiting impressions! h0130j03 Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2009 2,272 12 38 #11 h0130j03, Sep 7, 2011 There isn't going to be an iPad 1 version I suppose? r2ks8x Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2011 640 0 0 #12 r2ks8x, Sep 7, 2011 any gameplay videos looks interesting klicktock Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2009 416 0 16 Director of KlickTock Ballarat, Vic, Australia http://klicktock.com #13 klicktock, Sep 7, 2011 This game is fantastic, and has been "ripping the Mac App Store a new one". I actually pre-ordered it for its original PC release as I'm a huge fan of Samorost. Given that it's iPad 2 only, it's likely that it's been compiled with Flash CS5. As someone looking into Flash for iOS, are any of the devs able to confirm/deny how the game was built for the iOS? Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #14 Misguided, Sep 7, 2011 Yes, it should be $4.99 USD. I've wanted this one for a long time but never gotten around to it. No problem paying 5 bucks for what is supposed to be a great game. Houndeye Member Aug 6, 2011 13 0 0 http://mguniverse.com #15 Houndeye, Sep 7, 2011 The iPad 2 is an iPad 1 with cameras. It does not have a higher resolution, and this is just silly that I can't run Machinarium on my iPad 1. And oh yeah, it has 2 cameras, and iPad 1 has zero. But you already know about that. TheSporkWithin Well-Known Member Jan 16, 2010 928 0 16 College student, studying English/Japanese lit. #19 TheSporkWithin, Sep 7, 2011 It is point and click, yes, but there is no dialogue whatsoever. There is some humor, but it's fairly black, and there are no gags like you get in the Monkey Island games. All of the puzzles are visual, as is the entire game UI. The Samarost games by the same developer are the best comparisons, and they're free to play online. Try them out. I decided to take the plunge anyhow as it looks decent, and, i can gloat to my mate with an ipad 1 that he can't play it (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
