Fans of Netflix’s reality baking show Nailed It! have a new holiday-themed season to look forward to next month when Nailed It! Halloween launches on October 5th, but the fun doesn’t stop there because the show is also arriving as a mobile game the day before. Nailed It! Baking Bash will launch on iOS and Android devices for Netflix subscribers on October 4th, and it looks to recreate the pretty zany copycat baking antics of the live action series. For the uninitiated, the concept of the Nailed It! show is to have amateur bakers attempt to recreate extremely elaborate baking masterpieces, with the one who does the best job copying the masterpiece winning a cash prize and a trophy for “nailing it." As you might expect, the amateurs typically do a pretty terrible job which makes for great TV. Check out the Nailed It! Baking Bash trailer below.
With cooking games being a thing for what feels like forever now, I think the concept of the show will translate well to video game form, especially a game you play with a touchscreen as that gives you ample ability to shape, mold, and carve your creations using direct touch, as showcased in the trailer above. Also, and this is true of things on Netflix Games but also Apple Arcade or any other gaming subscription service, it’s always so lovely to play a game that normally would have been guaranteed to be as free to play as you can get but not have to worry about any of the IAP or ads or typical free to play stuff. It’s refreshing. Nailed It! Baking Bash will join the Netflix Games catalogue, which just seems to keep getting stronger and stronger, on October 4th.
