Following the long-awaited Genshin Impact (Free) version 2.0 update that brought a new region, PS4/PS5 cross save with other platforms, and more, miHoYo revealed that Aloy from Sony’s Horizon Zero Dawn was coming to Genshin Impact. Today, Genshin Impact version 2.1 was dated alongside the reveal of new characters, story details, and more. This update will let players visit Watatsumi Island to take on boss enemies like the Hydro Hypostasis, Trounce Domain Boss Signora, and more. Raiden Shogun, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kujou Sara are the new characters joining Genshin Impact with 2.1. Watch the trailer for the update below:
Barring the new characters and story content, Genshin Impact 2.1 also brings in fishing. You will be able to fish across Teyvat to produce fish meat, earn rewards, and more at the fishing Association. As mentioned before, Aloy will be available to those who are Adventure Rank 20 or higher. You will earn 5 star Aloy through the in-game mail on PS4/PS5 once you sign into the game on those platforms once updated. All platform players who don’t sign in on PS4/PS5 will be able to claim Aloy from the in-game mail with Genshin Impact version 2.2. Aloy’s Predator (Bow) will also be available through in-game mail.
