Minecraft Earth (Free) has been getting updated every few weeks with a new challenge season, new mobs, and a lot more. Today’s update is the 0.24.0 (R24) update bringing in support for Challenge Season 8: Badlands in addition to the new mobs and blocks. The Cookie Cow mob will now be found in tappables as of this update. The two new blocks are the Carved Pumpkin and the Jack o’Lantern. The Carved Pumpkin cannot be placed on sides of blocks and can only be placed on top of other blocks. The other highlight feature of this update is that you will now earn rewards when you level up.

Today’s update has a mention for iOS 14 beta and Android 11 beta. On Android 11 beta, the game has a known issue where it may crash on launch. For iOS 14 beta, minifigs might not activate in the Boosts menu. These will likely be resolved close to or when the public versions of both mobile operating systems ship. It looks like the pace of updates is increasing with more than one update planned per month for Minecraft Earth. I’m excited to see how Minecraft Earth evolves on iOS 14 with improvements to ARKit and more. Minecraft Earth is now available on iOS and Android.
