If you play games on PC at all, you probably know of Denuvo DRM. Denuvo on PC is an anti-tamper solution for games that aims to prevent piracy and more on the platform. Over the last year or so, many games using Denuvo have been cracked relatively quickly making many paying customers a fair bit angry because the DRM has some issues depending on the implementation. One of the more recent examples is Yakuza 0 from SEGA that had the DRM removed in a post launch update and this brought the executable size much lower than it was with the DRM and it resulted in faster launching for many people.

At Gamescom 2019, Denuvo announced a dedicated mobile solution that will be coming to Android in the form of “Mobile Game Protection". This aims to prevent piracy and cheating on Android and can be implemented at the APK level which means it will take less effort for developers to implement. This protection will also have detection for rooted devices, and more. There are loads of games that straight up don’t function on rooted devices to ensure no cheating or piracy of in game content happens.
It is going to be interesting seeing what the end result is for games that use Denuvo’s Mobile Game Protection solution because the performance impact varies by game on PC and it affects some players but not all. We already have some developers opting for an online only solution on Android while leaving the iOS versions playable offline since piracy is so rampant on Android.

Well that's just super. Even MORE reasons not to game on mobile.
Denuvo already wrecks havoc on PC Games, what do you think it's going to do to android games.
Android Phones have like limited $2-3GB OF Memory, just loading the apps and stuff on a $300 phone already eats up almost all the 2GB of RAM.
Denuvo secured games are going to eat up more resources, such as CPU / RAM, even drain battery life, and worst of all if your app happens to be something like a weather app that runs in the background, and your playing Pokemon Go for example if that doesn't use it, and then someone calls you on the phone, or your using GPS nav and suddenly start to get loading screens and lag-outs because the phone has to dump ram to make use for other process.
Unless everyone is running a $800+ Phone if Irdeto has their way you can expect to have a horrid experience with Android Gaming.
If I were you i'd contact Google, and file Take-Down notices on any games using Denuvo, explain the situtation that
you were never told about it and the app is causing extra resource usage, even if you spent money demand a refund from whatever app it was.
Google should require developers post it uses Denuvo / DRM, or not allow it to be used on the play store at all.
Edit: As for piracy protection on PC Denuvo is garbage I can get any game cracked and working same day release, even decrypt encrypted games that I pre-load and play before anyone else, Though I like to buy all my games legally, Denuvo turns me to piracy so I don't have to buy into developers who choose to use such a malicious product. As every game i've played with Denuvo causes issues especially when the PC is under load from other processes Denuvo hogs and causes issues.
