‘Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale’ is Taking Sign-Ups for a Closed Alpha that Starts Next Week

Back in June we first told you about Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale, which is a follow-up title to one of our very favorite deck-building RPGs Meteorfall: Journey ($3.99) from developer Slothwerks. Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale takes place in the same universe as Journey and features many of the same characters, and is even built on top of the same deck-building foundation. The major difference is that instead of the binary action system of Journey that gave you just two options for every card you drew, Krumit’s Tale features a grid system which greatly expands your options for every turn, making for a more complex and deeper experience. Here’s the Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale cinematic trailer.

Unlike Meteorfall: Journey, Krumit’s Tale will be released on desktop in addition to mobile, and in fact will launch on Steam first before being brought over to the mobile platform. The game is still a ways off and probably won’t launch in full until sometime next year, but it will be launching in Early Access on Steam this fall. Slothwerks is also at a point where they’re ready to begin a closed alpha test, which will be primarily focused on the Steam version but will also include a few spots for iOS and Android version testers. If this sounds interesting to you, then you can sign up to become a tester here, with the alpha test kicking off next week. Do note that the desktop version is limited to Windows, but a Mac version may be an option in the future. If testing isn’t your thing, then just kick back and we’ll bring you any more news about Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale as its development continues.
