Langrisser is a strategy RPG series that dates back almost 30 years, with the original Langrisser launching on the Sega Genesis back in 1991 followed by numerous mainline sequels, spinoffs, and re-releases coming in the decades since. While full remakes of the first two Langrisser games are on their way to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 this year, there’s also a mobile game in the works that is set to arrive in a couple of weeks on January 22nd. Unsurprisingly this mobile version will be free to play and while it will feature a new chapter in the storyline surrounding the Legendary Sword, it also sounds like it’ll be a fan service compilation of sorts featuring 300 classic battle scenarios as well as “everyone’s favorite characters" drawn from all of the previous games in the series. Here’s a brand new trailer for Langrisser on mobile.
If you’re interested in Langrisser on mobile, you can currently pre-register for the game on its official website and as is typically the case with these things you’ll earn yourself some in-game rewards upon launch depending on how many people pre-register. According to the stats on that site, pre-registrations have surpassed the 300,000 threshold with 500,000 being the next tier to unlock a new reward. In addition to that, you can pre-order the game on the iOS App Store or pre-register for the Android version on the Google Play Store. Otherwise look for Langrisser to officially launch on both mobile platforms on January 22nd.
