‘Skylanders Ring of Heroes’ Developer Interview Released From Com2uS

Skylanders Ring of Heroes is a turn based RPG from Com2uS based on the Skylanders franchise from Activision. If you missed it, pre-registrations recently went live. While the franchise hasn’t been as healthy as it was a few years ago with toys to life feeling like a thing of the past, Com2uS is bringing it to mobile with Activision in a turn based RPG flavour. Today, the team has revealed a new developer interview video showcasing the thought process behind bringing it to mobile in an RPG format. Watch it below:

The interview has a showcase for some exclusive features like the awakened Skylanders and features Production Project Manager May Cho, Assistant Producer Angel Ortiz, and more. The aim for them is to bring Skylanders to new and old fans. Hopefully this doesn’t end up like Final Fantasy XV when that tried to appeal to both groups of fans.

Skylanders Ring of Heroes is a turn based RPG with many characters from the Skylanders franchise facing off against various enemies from the universe. If you’re interested, you can pre-register for Skylanders Ring of Heroes here for iOS and Android.

They've been teasing this forever. I wish they'd release it.

This video was way better than the last one where they got youtubers to react to the trailer who were clearly not Skylanders fans. The most anyone could say about it was "uuuh I liked Spyro as a kid so this is cool".

There is a severe lack of love to Spyro....the franchise that is the reason Skylanders even exist,it was a reboot of Spyro after Legend failed to meet expectations, but it could be that now with Reignited they want to keep both franchise separate now that Spyro is coming back.It will definitely attract Spyro fans anyway,I will try it for a bit but my expectations are low.
