I doubt I’m the only one who is surprised that HQ Trivia (Free) is still going as strong as it is – particularly with how quickly fads die on the app store – but here we are. There’s been numerous celebrity guests that have appeared on the app to host, but none other than Dwayne “The Rock" Johnson will be hosting tomorrow for a total of $300,000 in prizes. I expect his upcoming movie, Rampage, will get mentioned quite a bit during the show… which really just makes the current timeline we’re on that much more strange. Imagine if just a year ago someone suggested that as part of a movie promo tour you’ve got to stop in on a trivia app? Craziness.

In other HQ news, the game is also rolling out a “Friends on HQ" update which makes the game far more social. It’s available in the UK now, but it’s coming to the US soon. Once launched, you’ll be able to see which of your friends are actively playing and how they’re doing in a game- A feature which makes loads of sense and almost seems a little weird that it wasn’t included as part of the original release.
