50 ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Characters Coming to ‘Pocket Mortys’

TouchArcade Rating:

Rick and Morty is a huge cultural phenomenon, especially recently with all the talk of the Szechuan sauce “incidents," but it’s also the source of the great Pokemon-like mobile game Pocket Mortys (Free) that has continued to grow ever since its release in 2016. And now, we are about to get many more characters in celebration of the TV show’s third season. Specifically, starting soon and all the way into 2018, the game will receive 50 new Mortys and other characters—Teacher Rick, Working Class Rick, Street Loco Morty—along with original Ricks and Mortys unique to the game. These new characters should keep players coming back to the game, especially given the opportunity to unlock Ricks and Mortys that aren’t even in the show.

In addition to the new characters, the new updates will also add rarities to Mortys, coupon rewards for Multiplayer Challenges, and, of course, various improvements to the base game and the expansion content. If you’re one of those who’ve been enjoying the game all this time, you’ll definitely enjoy the new content, and if you haven’t had a chance to play the game, now is definitely the cultural moment to get into it. Check out our forum thread for more on the game.

      Mfi support?

Bought it and nope but I have a feeling it might be coming later.

I’d like to know this too. It’s ridiculous that the AppStore doesn’t even explicitly mention controller support for games, just as it’s kind of weird that a gaming focused site like this one doesn’t mention it.

I bought it as it sounded like something I would like and is only $2.99. It does not support Mfi. I am hopeful that will come later though.

True story, yesterday Steam was offering a Steamplay box for $1 with the purchase of this game. Total cost with shipping was about $17.

But is it so legit that it will be unable to quit later?
