It’s time for another Hearthstone (Free) Tavern Brawl everyone, and if you were expecting a fancy raid one like the ones Fireside Gatherings are getting, then I’m sorry, but you’re out of luck. If you can get together with others at a Fireside Gathering, then you get to play the Lich King raid; if you are all by your lonesome, then it’s An Evil Exchange for you, a repeat of an older Tavern Brawl but with a slight twist since Kel’Thuzad has a different hero power. An Evil Exchange is a duel between Kel’Thuzad and Rafaam. The Brawl is random, so each time you play, you’ll end up with either one of those bosses. They each have their own decks, so no deck-building this time around, and, of course, they each play quite differently. Rafaam has 60 health and a hero power that will remind you of the Staff of Origination from the League of Explorers. Specifically, it initially adds a random card to your hand, but gradually it gives you the ability to add random Legendaries to your hand that cost 4 less. So yes, a very powerful hero power.
Kel’Thuzad has 30 health and 30 armor and a hero power that adds a random Naxxramas minion to your hand that costs 3 less. So, as you probably figured out, Kel’Thuzad players need to try and aggro their way out of trouble before Rafaam starts spitting out Legendaries. While not all Legendaries are great, most Legendaries are good enough to tilt the game. There’s a reason why many players concede when they see they’re playing Rafaam. The Brawl is live now, so go see if you can get cool Legendaries as Rafaam.
