‘Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes’ Getting Luke Storyline, New Ewoks

TouchArcade Rating:

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (Free) continues to grow, and after giving us Grand Admiral Thrawn, we are now getting something even more terrifying: new Ewoks. Ewoks will be taking over the game during July with updated art for all Ewok models, updated stats for Chief Chirpa, Ewok Scout, and Ewok Elder, and 3 new Ewoks, Wicket, Logray, and Paploo. We are also getting new Ewok events; it truly is an Ewok invasion. In addition to the Ewoks, we are getting a new event that will let you retrace Luke Skywalker’s journey from the farm to the stars, and completing this event will unlock Commander Luke Skywalker.

The game will also get Territory Battles, where you try and take over the ice planet of Hoth, and you can do so by using every unit you’ve collected. These new additions will be coming to the game throughout the month of July, so keep an eye out for in-game announcements.

The first looked stylish, but there wasn't much game in it. I don't think the second release was nearly as anticipated as the first for that reason and I doubt many people were willing to pay 5 bucks for the sequel to a title that had a great concept, but didn't deliver on the concept terribly well.

I don't know, beyond a few gaming outlets the original Framed did review quite well (TA was the exception to the rule, it seemed), and it was popular with a lot of people. Framed 2 was certainly a high profile release, but think the fact it wasn't a fresh concept maybe held it back a bit. Then again, who knows haha

Down to £0.49 in the UK. I believe it's usually £4.99.

Yep just noticed this (still $0.99 for US folk), bizarre that it's down to the lowest tier prices for UK and EU App Stores! Guess we can't complain though lol

To be honest, after not really enjoying the first one I was on the fence even when I thought it was down to 99p. At 49p though, I snapped it up.

Same. I liked the concept of the first one, but felt like a passenger rather than a player. Still, 49p for a stylish and slightly interactive cartoon - not bad. I'm in.

I had a lot of fun with the first and I certainly do hope this is not the result of dismal sales or troubles for the developer as I am a fan of the polish and approach to mobile gaming they have brought to the platform. Best hopes and wishes for the team at Loveshack!

Much more difficult than the first, and as such, has taken me significantly longer. Loving it and didn't mind original price, so I would recommend snatching it up asap if you even mildly enjoyed the first or are interested in the series!!
