Soft-Launched ‘Warzone: Clash of Generals’ Hopes to Channel ‘Command & Conquer’ and ‘Clash Royale’

TouchArcade Rating:

Warzone: Clash of Generals is an upcoming game that’s hoping to gives us a blend of Clash Royale and Command & Conquer, at least according to the developers. Judging from the trailer, the game looks to be adopting the Clash Royale-style gameplay, with each player spawning troops on their side of the map and trying to destroy the other player’s bases. It’s hard to know the gameplay details from the information we have so far, but it does look like most units are spawned from the edge of the map or from specific buildings rather than spawned anywhere in your own half of the map like Clash Royale.

The game follows the familiar rock-paper-scissors gameplay of games like Command & Conquer and offers three different game modes: Siege, Conquest, and Domination. If done right, this might be a fun game to play. The game is currently soft-launched in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic, and you can find out more about it (and download the soft-launched version) in our Upcoming Games forum thread.

So a game known for ripping off art assets from other games actually decided to pay for something??? When Gal Gadot confirms it I'll believe it

Oh hey, another endless crappy but pretty freemium game. *Yawn* Come on journalists, start calling out these ridiculous non-game games...

Yeah, it's an epidemic. I'm going to be really upset if someday my grandkids refuse to ever spend a penny on a video game. I'll be proud to call myself old-school.

Yeah, same thing with music. If my kids are ever caught listening to music on the radio, there will be hell to pay. Or television. Television with its stupid ad-supported free channels has ruined visual entertainment. In my household we're only allowed to watch TV series and movies that we've paid an upfront cost for and own on physical media.

Do we actually know if she endorsed the use of her likeness or did the artist just use a picture of her as a guide when making the icon? Just curious because I doubt you could stop a company using your likeness in a piece of art since you don't really own your features / likeness from a legal perspective.

Well the App Store screenshots say "Empower your heroes with Gal" so it's...even worse. I am not one to believe that League of Angels of all things is doing this legitimately though. I've seen waaaauuy too many stolen CG ads for this awful game.

They clearly stole her likeness, what are you talking about?

Do not play this game. Cheaters/hackers are allowed to play w/o repercussion. I have put a lot of money into the game and time, but a cheater is spending more diamonds than he could ever make for his level, but the Devs do nothing about it.
