The Room series brought the “escape room" genre to the masses with well-designed puzzles and incredible graphics, and now developer Blue Brain Games wants to take that idea and inject some historically accurate realism into the formula. Their upcoming game is titled The House of Da Vinci and it has you playing as the infamous inventor’s apprentice trying to solve the mystery of why his mentor has vanished out of nowhere. You’ll accomplish this by tinkering and toying with objects and inventions found around da Vinci’s house.
What’s cool is that the puzzle objects in The House of Da Vinci are based on actual da Vinci inventions and I find it really interesting to be able to explore and even virtually use these inventions in the game. I mean, can I please order one of those mobile tower/catapult things for my own real life enjoyment? For fans of escape rooms and puzzle boxes, it looks like The House of Da Vinci will be delivering another great experience in the genre, so look for it to arrive on iOS sometime in late May followed by versions for Android, Kindle, Steam, and the Mac App Store.
