As eagle-eyed forum member ramazrules pointed out moments ago, Robot Unicorn Attack 3 has soft launched in New Zealand. I just gave it a download and a few quick play throughs, and while I need to spend way more time with it, my initial impressions on the game are remarkably positive. The game is rendered in full, beautiful, 60fps 3D now, although the core platforming gameplay of jumping and dashing largely remains the same.
This time around they’ve added all sorts of different unicorns to unlock, and each of these unicorns can then be leveled up by training them through playing. The scoring system at first glance seems fairly complex with the actual level of your unicorn coming into play with how many points you earn on any particular run. Oh, and this time around, Erasure’s Always comes for free with the download of the game.
As mentioned, I’m going to get way deeper into the game, but my five minute first impressions of RUA3 can be summed up as, “This is awesome." Definitely fire up your NZ accounts and give the game a download. If you don’t have one yet, it’s real easy to get one.

Update: Looks like aside from New Zealand it’s also available in Australia, Canada, and Brazil.
