Maze Lord is a roguelike puzzler created by Jetdogs Studios that they released on Steam back in June of last year, and now with the help of Crescent Moon Games it’s making its way to iOS soon. Maze Lord has you exploring a maze-like dungeon fending off enemies and collecting all sorts of loot. Should you make it out alive and with your loot intact, you’ll be able to build your very own Treasury to store it, and outfit it with doors, traps, and monsters to protect those goods from being stolen. Or if you’re the consumer type, you can spend some of your riches on unique artifacts available in the Magic Shop. Check out the launch trailer for the Steam version of Maze Lord to get an idea of what it’s like.
Bringing Maze Lord over to iOS will also bring some changes and some new features. The biggest of which is that the game will be played in portrait orientation on iOS instead of the landscape orientation of the desktop version. This is fantastic news to folks like me who love one-handed mobile games. It will also feature Apple’s ReplayKit streaming; Game Center for achievements and leaderboards; and more than 100 handmade levels. Although a price hasn’t been decided yet, Maze Lord on iOS will indeed be a premium game and should be submitted to Apple this week with a release coming sometime in the next few weeks. Until then you can talk about Maze Lord with your fellow gamers in our forums.
