Even though it’s always fun looking forwards to an influx of new games in the middle of the week, it’s also nice when things trickle out a bit earlier just to break things up. Just as we reported last week, Boncho Games’ twitchy swipe-based platformer Blitz Breaker ($2.99) rolled out earlier this morning and is now available in the App Store. In case you’ve missed our previous coverage, here’s the launch trailer for Blitz Breaker to give you an idea of how it all works.

I’ve been anticipating Blitz Breaker ever since its original announcement in back in February of last year, as it gave me a similar vibe as one of my all-time favorite games The Last Rocket ($1.99). I have yet to have a chance to give Blitz Breaker a thorough play, but after tooling around for just a few minutes my initial impressions are very positive, as are the impressions of those playing in our forums. If you like the look of the trailer, chances are you’ll enjoy Blitz Breaker as the swipe controls are spot-on and the levels are challenging and well-designed.
