I’m based in the Chicago area, and I love everything about this part of the USA except for one very significant problem: When I’m craving Waffle House I’ve got to drive all the way to Indianapolis to get my fix of scattered, smothered, and covered hash browns. Sure, we have objectively better overall mom and pop diners all over the ‘burbs, but there’s just something magical about Waffle House. It’s like when you’re really craving White Castle, there’s just no substitute. What does this have to do with anything? Nothing really, just random Waffle-related musings on National Waffle Day and wishing I could celebrate properly at a Waffle House. Thankfully, there’s a whole heap of brand new iOS games to play instead.
